While I agree with Mr. E that the hooker experiences are different from the "regular" women, my perception of reality is the way you describe it. We don't get to see the upper class and the other classes have no incentive to give out stuff with short shelf life, for free. Personally, free stuff also would make me feel that I am taking advantage of someone, given what I know of the land.

Many nonpros that I deal with, in addition to offering me their looks, provide me with a place to stay for free, food, companionship and introduce me to many things that I may not have been privy to just staying on Pedro Clisante or El Conde.

The problems that I have is that you assume every woman in DR is poor and need a foreigner for money. You also assume that I have lied or misled the women that I have relationships with. I have done no such thing. But I have sense enough to define the relationship before I enter into it.
