When I went across to Nogales, everyone was selling viagra. I assume it is the same at Tijuana. Are these ligit? And does anyone know the cost of ligit stuff at the pharmacies near the boarder.

Any of you know what the F is up w Sentri?
Tomorrow will be three weeks since I was interviewed and approved. They said my card would arrive in 7-10 days and HAD to be activated within 30 days. Still not arrived.
I couldn't find a number that got through to a real person in Oyay Mesa. I got through to GOES tech support but they were of limited use.
I left a voicemail on a line that said a person would return my call within 48 hours. I'm not holing my breath.
Anyone else have a similar experience? Anyone have a better contact number or person?
My main reason for lodging north of the border is luggage. I'm visiting from out east for 4 or 5 days. That means 4 or 5 days of clean underwear, socks, shirts, etc. Plus, a laptop to keep up with anything work related that might pop up. Yeah, I'm taking vacation days, but I still like to stay ahead of things while gone.
Anyway, I don't want to deal with taking so much across the border. But maybe I could leave the laptop at home, reduce the amount of clothing in my bag, and do laundry on the 2nd or 3rd day at a lavanderia in the neighborhood? What do you think?
I would say the Rodeway Inn, I stay there all the time when I am in San Ysidro, and it is safe and cheap, at only about $50 on a AAA rate. It is great too with all the ammendities of a normal US Hotel room, and is not a roach motel. Great hotel, that is clean, nice, close to the border, and is cheap,

RamHer
Authentic Pfizer Viagra runs $10-$14 / tablet at the pharmacies close to the border. There is an equally effective generic called Maxifort that is $4-$5 / tablet. You shouldn't ever buy loose tablets in a plain baggie. Look for them in a sealed box (Viagra. There's a hologram seal and the tablets are in a blister pack) or a sealed bottle inside of a box (Maxifort) and you're buying them before the expiration date. Buying larger boxes gets a lower per tablet price. I tend to like the big well lit chain pharmacies to the smaller shops because they'll tend to always have the real thing.
You can also save money at pharmacies farther from the border and Av Revo / Zona Centro areas. But what you might save in cost you make up for in extra taxi costs.
I haven't been to Vivamex in about a year now but before that I went a once a month for a bit and sadly I never got any HE vibes. Maybe it's me. Or maybe it's something they are allowing now since the economy is down? Or maybe just the girl. I will make it a point to stop by in a few weeks though.
Hi all,
I've just came back from Viva Mex massage, they are located between third and fourth on Revolution Ave. You know, the Azteca competition, I went there almost at closing time, arround 10:00pm, I usually go in the afternoons before going to all the girl places, I got my usual, the one hour massage for $39. 00 and it was good, but almost at the end the girl reached out at started giving me a happy ending, I didn't asked for it and it took me by surprise, I've been going there for quite some time now and that had never happened, so I have to ask, has this happened to someone here? And, it this part of the service, if you ask for it you can get it? Or was this just something the girl did for an extra tip? (which she got by the way).
I'm asking because I've never wanted to ask the girls, I always asumed this was a straight up massage place.
So is Viagra / Cialis / etc actually legal or is it tolerated? Kind of curious to figure out what is legit without a prescription and what is not. .

Viagra, etc, are not legal in the US without a prescription, so if you are caught at the border there is trouble. In Mexico, buying without a prescription is totally accepted. HOWEVER, if you are a gringo you must always be aware that you are SUPPOSED to have a prescription, which means that a cop can stop and bust you for possession without a prescription. Most likely, you will have to stop by the nearest ATM, withdraw some cash, and pay your"fine," for the crime.
I have seen this happen before. Be careful at night when you are "holding".
P.S. To answer the second part of your question. Almost everything is tolerated. If they sell it to you then it is "tolerated," otherwise they will not sell it. HOWEVER, as noted above, as a gringo you ARE NOT supposed to purchase any items in Mexico without a prescription that require one in the US. Basically, you are at the mercy of crooked cops. ANY drugs they find on you will automatically mean "jail,"which, again, really means pay off time.

Hey can we still travel if the US government shut down
Hey can we still travel if the US government shut down
No. The border crossing will be closed. You'll be stuck in Mexico for the duration.
;.D
Hey can we still travel if the US government shut down
Please tell me your joking! One thing that will be different is the nice guys that actually let you through will be replaced by TSA guys wanting to feel you up, Just kidding. the only thing that will be effected is your Senti and passport applications, will have to wait a little longer for those.
If you fly into San Diego like I do don't rent a car. Take a FREE car rental shuttle from the airport to the light rail station (near Thrifty, Enterprise, Alamo, etc.) and ride it to San Ysidro. Costs $5 roundtrip. It takes about an hour and lets you off right at the border so you don't have to worry about parking or driving over the border which is a real hassle.
Then WALK west across the pedestrian bridges toward the large arch. You can't miss it. Wear ipod earphones so you don't have to listen to the hawkers trying to sell you some bullshit. At the bottom of the pedestrian bridge towards Revolution you can get $1 beer and tacos and take a leak.
Right across from the wax museum is a pharmacy where you can get viagra 10 for $26. Stock up. When you get to the arch (Revolution) go straight west one more block then turn right and walk two more blocks. There will be a lot of streetwalkers that charge $20 but most are skanks. Some of them can be quite aggressive. Turn left to Adelitas and Hong Kong Club. It takes me about 20. 25 minutes to walk from the border to Hong Kong Club which is almost as fast as a cab.
If you want to take a cab, use LIBRE because they only charge $5.
I never buy lady drinks (the pesky waiters [CodeWord140] me off) and usually have my share of $1 cerveza BEFORE I go into the clubs. Have plenty of $1 bills for the girls so you can feel them up and play with their snatch right there in the bar. Most will return the favor by playing with your schwantztooka for a little while. Find the girl you like and negotiate for $50-60 for whatever you like. Usually the older ones are more agreeable but not always. Personally I like BBBJ cum on boobs or face with photos and massage de tetas afterwards but not all girls will do that and sometimes you have to see a girl several times before she allows that.
The short time rooms upstairs from HK / Adelitas now want $15 plus $1 towel + $1 robe for the girl plus $1 for the cum boy who cleans up the room. If you want to stay overnight nearby there is Hotel Leyva for $21 right next to Chicago Club around the corner from Adelitas / Hong Kong but the problem with that is the girls from HK / Adelitas won't come until AFTER their shift. Still, it is quiet and clean with TV and you can order a Dominos pizza if you want. . If you need internet cafe walk two blocks south and turn left after McDonalds.
If you do all the above you will have more money for the honey which is what we all want anyway, right. Cheers!
Tijuana is the poor monger's last resort. Most other spots are either too expensive to get too, and / or the price of women has risen with the recession (or the US$ has fallen).
One caveat to the previous post: At the airport you can also take the 992 city bus right outside the terminal to the trolley Downtown, which takes you to Tijuana.
Just put a $5 bill in the bus machine, and you will get a DAYTRIPPER pass, which is good for most San Diego buses and trolleys all day. So you can get down to Tijuana, back to your hotel, and go anywhere else you need to go for $5.

jim0129 / clarification.
did this happen at vivamex or azteca?
my experiece with azteca massage on paper towel massage table like the doctor's office left little impression on a return visit. my massage therapist was older and heavy set but friendly with english language skills.
vivamex has younger therapist and just raised the prices to $45 / hr. massage table not comfortable in some cases in the opening.
