I plan on visiting manila, AC, and Cebu at the beginning of next year again. I talked to a guy about 1. 5 years ago in LA Cafe and he got lasik done for $1600 in Manila. I also am talking to a girl that had an ex-bf from the US, and said he got it done in Manila for $1100.
Have any of you guys ever researched it? Had it done? Or have any suggestions for it? I plan on mongering in manila and AC mostly. If you have done it in Manila, is it something that will allow me to monger that night?

Lasik is getting cheaper and cheaper every yr I got it done 2 yr ago in the US cost 1k USD is much cheaper now, my buddy got it done last yr in Bangkok for about 720 USD a large Lasik center own by European have new Machne,
I think it is alot less now in PI but I think you should do it in Thailand better doctor.

Very professional place. I can't tell you the price but I did enquire few years back and it seemed to be the best and most professional in Manila. Are you really interested in saving a few dollars or having professional treatment. Concerning my eyes, I know what I would want.
I had my Lasik done in Cebu a couple months ago by Dr. Larrazabal (probably the best-known opthalmologist in the Philippines, husband of the famous filipina singer Donna Cruz) at Cebu Doctor's where he is head of the Opthalmology department. Cost P50,000 all-inclusive. I wouldn't recommend being in a bar environment for an extensive period the same night, as its best to avoid cigarette smoke as much as possible immediately afterwards. (This being said I did briefly stop into Pussycats Cebu the same night to say hello to my favourite there)
In Manila I would consider St. Luke's, Makati Medical or American Eye.

Outstanding service and quality. I am an amazing success story for them as I still do not need reading glasses (they thought I would after 5 years). Cost was 40, 000 pesos for both eyes (11 years ago) so may be higher by now.
There is another sad story of a country with a totally unpredictable law-system. This one ended well. Many do not. Much worse happens on many levels. Everybody is at risk.

Since there is no divorce it is hard to say who was married and who was not. Lots of Phi men just leave their wife and girlfriends once they get pregnant for some reason.
Anyway I admire the courage of this man fighting for his girl and child.
I do't find it hard at all to be sympathetic to this beleaguered couple. There's no functional justice system here, and there's no divorce, unless you're rich enough to afford an annulment. Chances are this lady's husband had gone off and fathered lots of other children with new girlfriends, and saw this as a chance for a financial bonanza. The church here realizes substantial profits from annulments, so naturally it's going to battle any attempt to allow marital freedom to those without money.

No regard for the fact she was already married with children. Also if in fact. She was working at hotel in Dubai, I doubt she was a saint herself. No sympathy for her, or the guy. He could have chosen much better for himself. He is lucky to even be alive. He literally put his life on the line. All for well used already married goods.
