None of them looked like usual top tier of thermae, but interestingly none looked like lb either, considering pre covid that was the spot for lbs. I will be quite surprised if the better looking ones of thermae going to stand outside it, considering their usual clientele is not around. Tonight was unusual in the overall number of girls and of the number of much better looking girls standing outside compared to previous nights. That is what prompted me to post a report about it.

I also walked down Soi 4 at that same hour (8pm - 9pm) and was surprised to see 2-3 much better looking than usual girls standing there looking for customers. Again, that small number was a notable improvement from just yesterday and the day before.

Friday night, more pedestrian traffic on the sois due to more stores, massage shops, restaurants with seating and so on reopening, word getting out about that. I think a lot things were coming together tonight to make a difference.

Even the report out today that the curfew will be lifted Monday is likely to have triggered an influx of new faces on the scene on the awareness that things are now just a couple of days away rather than months away from getting better for street girls and the group gathering in front of Thermae.

Seems perhaps from July 1st some nationalities will be allowed back in sans quarantine requirements but limited to just a few and mostly Asian.

Since there is so little on what is, how about some reminisce of what was.

This does nothing to help people find what they want in the present day (or in the near future), but it helps to remember why Bangkok will always be a place unique to itself.

Living close to Bangkok in SE Asia, but not in Bangkok itself, it was always easy for me to route myself through Bangkok when flying to Europe. First let of the flight could land in Bangkok between 5 and 8 pm, leaving time for an adventure or 3, before the flights to Europe departed between 11:30 pm and 2 am. Certainly, with such short stats, any immigration queue, taxi queue, or traffic, ate into precious time. But more often than not, everything worked well.

I am talking about Bangkok in the early 2000's. It was still Bangkok much as it was since I first arrived there as someone green to Asia in 1987. When making these 3-6 hour stopovers, it was super easy to find anything one wanted in the quantity wanted. A quick (well 90 minute) trip to Eden was easy to do, and still fun to do at that time, with many attractive ladies including the incredible lady with the large fish tattoo on her back. I remember a few as I spent more time than I should have in Eden at that time. I recall the ending of Marc's time in Eden when I am saw him on a flight to another city in Asia, when he was not looking so well. Eden was an easy first stop, but more directly, it was much easier to pull from Go-Go's at that time. You could walk in and within 15 minute have someone of good attractiveness with you and willing to go. There were times within those few hours of stopovers, that I could manage two go-go pulls, without sacrificing on the time in the short time room -- could get the full hour twice, and still make the flight.

It was later in the 2000's, when this started to change in Soi Cowboy when I was in the set of bars opposite to Bacara, when they started to have the Coyotes. I was completely caught by surprise the first time I was speaking with someone and asked her to go with me, when she said no, she doesn't do that, and then identified the uniforms of the dancers who could go ST with customers. Needless to say, this was not easy news to digest, and it made me stay away from that section of Soi Cowboy as time was precious and the great fun of being in a gogo is believing you have a chance at anyone in the bar. That is not 100% true, but it was more often true than not true.

Although it is clear from the board that many options exist today, from online, to massages, and to kapoo, which few people mention but still has appeal to me, the great differentiator in Bangkok, aside from the wonderful (for the most part) demeanor of Bangkok ladies, has been the gogos. I can't count the number of hours I spent entranced by butts and breasts of all shapes and sizes, either pre-pull or in the after glow of a good session, but it was an irreplaceable experience, which only fills me with regret that I did not spend more time in Bangkok post-1987 and pre-2000. It is what it was.

What it was when it worked was amazing. Aside from the visual splendor, it was also a remarkably fluid market that at that time still worked in the buyers favor. Another attraction of the gogos to me is that the supply was always greater than the demand, making the mama and dancers work to sell and then performance was less a question. Transactions could be completed quickly and satisfactorily.

An example is another time around 2008, I think, when I was staying in Livingstone's for a couple of days of leisure in Bangkok. Aside from its convenience of location, Livingstone's was great for not making any fuss over who you brought into your room. Price was fair and rooms were of a good quality. The pool and pool bar were a decent place to hang out, and the pool bar always served as an emergency reservoir of talent, albeit a short walk to Soi 33 could readily solve that problem as well. I stayed in Livingstone frequently and another advantage of it was that I could stash some smokables in various nocks and crannies (behind A / see condensors outside or in the roof tiling of the laundry closet). This means I did not have to make my routine visit to Patpong to buy from an old grey-haired, kinda cool DJ in one of the quieter bars on the street, whose name I don't know. (he even sold to me when there was the small bombings near the BTS lines, and police were deployed in Silom, but another story for another day).

In any case, having this with me, added an extra charge (as if it was needed) to the search for women to take back to Livingstone's. On this particular day, I began early in Soi Cowboy, maybe around 8 pm. I found someone quickly, super fit for my taste, we were back at Livingstone's by about 8:30, she showered, I smoked, and then we did what we do. I must have had more than I thought as I recall her laughing or smiling at how intensely I was starting at her and admiring her flawless figure -- short, maybe 150 cm, great breasts and flawless belly. It took all my willpower not to charge to the end, but instead to enjoy each step within the hour provided (which was my goal). We finish, I shower again, she is gone and it is off to Nana. I stayed in a condo behind Korea town near Condoms and Cabbages. I did the track every night from Korea town (peering across the street at Thermae), down Sukhumvit, cut in behind Lolitas onto Soi 4, down to a closed Nana, hopped over to other side of Sukhumvit and McDonald's, quick dash into 7/1, quicker dash out of 7/1, and back down to Thermae and finally quit near the Westin.
