I have lived on Soi 8 during the winter months for the past several years and pass by Lolita's frequently on my way through Soi 6 to NaNa. Tonight I took a cruise through Soi Cowboy, stopped in Thermae and ended the evening in Nana Plaza. This was mostly a visual overview for me just to get a vibe of the bars after 3 1/2 months of closure.
I was a bit too early for Soi Cowboy I suppose, around 8:30PM. I thought the go-go bars would open early since they must close at Midnight. But I don't think any go-go bar except Crazy House was open for dancing by then. A few girls were sitting outside some of the bars, but they demonstrated no particular interest in attracting a customer (me) that I could tell except one ok looking 30 something year old sitting outside Country Road just as I was leaving the soi. She reached out to grab my hand, but I wasn't really interested.
Around 9PM, I stopped in Thermae. Had to get my temperature taken outside the door and make sure my mask was fully covering my nose and mouth when I entered. That's it. Once inside, I suppose I could have pulled my mask down, which I did, or removed it altogether. There was one other Farang customer at the bar with his mask fully removed and chatting with a girl who also had no mask on at the time. There were about 60 girls and a sprinkling of customer in there at that time, mostly Asian customers and mostly senior citizens like me. Almost all of the girls were wearing those clear plastic face masks that look a little like welder's masks. LOL. But you can see their whole face behind it. As is usual for Thermae, the more obvious lookers had zero interest in me, responding to my Hello (in Thai), returning my smile or in the 2-3 other Farangs in the place. I finished one drink and moved on to Nana Plaza.

I just wrote and then deleted a bit here about what I did and didn't have to do in Nana Plaza and its go-go bars tonight that was different from before the shutdown. I have decided to just say it was not very different from before.
I only went into two Nana Plaza go-go bars: Twister BKK on the ground level and Rainbow 5, formerly Twister (second level). I had one drink in each bar, spent about 40 minutes each and moved on.
My impression of the general vibe tonight was no different for me than if it had been normal times except for the servers wearing face masks and only 4-5 bars being open. And, of course, the very few customers around. The stages were filled with girls, looking and behaving no different than if it were the height of High Season. All the lookers were as aloof and seemingly disinterested in getting a Lady Drink or being barfined (by me) than if they were 3 months ahead on their rent and their smartphone top ups instead of 3 months behind. The marginally fuckable ones were the only ones smiling at me, returning my smile or seemed to be interested in coming over during their dance break. Actually, the only girl I saw in either bar going over to a customer was a looker in Twister BKK plopping herself down next to one very decrepit old Farang dude sitting alone in the booth. And he didn't seem to be all that interested in her either. LOL. I got the impression they knew each other from before.
Nobody seemed needy, hungry, thirsty or eager to meet a customer, get a Lady Drink or be barfined by anyone in the couple of hours I was in those two Nana Plaza bars and checking around the place, including the servers. I mention that in case some of you guys not here are imagining the hottest girls must be crawling all over us, begging to be taken, offering Real Sex without discussion, accepting deep discounts on their usual fees and so on. LOL. I saw no evidence of and experienced no crawling, begging or offering of anything. I was able to sit with a big smile and nodding to girls in those bars for a chunk of the time they would be open tonight and managed not to be approached or lobbied by body language by any of the girls I would remotely have wanted to barfine. And there were many barfineable girls there tonight. Lookswise only, I mean.
Then again, I wasn't really intent upon taking a girl no matter what tonight. I might be more on the hunt right after these two upcoming bar closure days have passed this weekend and more bars reopen.
