Has anyone had experience with this or other services? Is it worth the cost? Any other suggestions for a good local tour guide in Jakarta?

He knows all the venues mentioned in this thread, like Blok M, Glodok, Pangeran Jayakarta and many more. During the tour he will get to know your preferences, so if some time you feel like receiving a girl without leaving your hotel / apartment, he can bring you one to your liking.

The girls there are equally cheap, if not more passionate than Indo girls. Plus their English is likely to be better. MNL and CRK are well connected with budget airlines to HKG.

Plus Jakarta traffic is so bad, this adds another 90mins to your travelling time.

Anyone has any idea on the status of the Jakarta to City rail? If there was any city that needed one badly, it's Jakarta. I didn't see any signs of construction last time I was there.

i don't really know about the status of the jakarta city rail. but if i recall something about the jakarta subway. one of my nightlife tour clients, a briton based in hk, architects the infrastructure. dunno the time table but they are working on it.

at the moment, jakarta has a very effective busway system for the city and a light train system connecting the city with bogor, depok, tangerang and bekasi.
