What exactly is the scene with CM Karaoke bars? Never been to one (in Thailand).

You can also bar-fine them but the amount really depends on the venue- anywhere from 500 Baht to 10,000 Baht. The bar-fine usually includes the cost of sex, so you don't pay the girl any extra back in your room unless you want to tip her.

The girls are a billion times hotter than those who cater to Farang on a daily basis.

Over all seems the damage would be more than in a go-go bar, but worth a visit if you have some friends with you.

Can you short time it at the bar? Do they have rooms there?

I hope that I can help Angel Eyes out a little, but I have limited karaoke experience. At Violin (behind Forte) I ended up paying 2100 baht for three hours with no sex. The mamasan quoted the room at 90 baht per hour, the girl at 200 per hour, and drinks (beer and SPY) were 150 each. Probably high, but worth it for me as I just wanted to unwind. I then spent an additional hour with the girl (Nat) in another room with full service. That set me back another 2000. Again, probably steep, but I was in the mood, I was there, I had the money, and it was too late to go to any of the other places I frequent.

I would certainly appreciate any feedback, or other karaoke suggestions.

Oh, Angel Eyes, if you make it up to Chiang Mai, I'd be happy to buy you a beer. Same same Coma Boy

I am from Sillypore (Singapore) and headed that way in 2 evenings. (Friday)

Would you like to get together? Do you play golf at all? We golf by day and monger by night (two of us).

Not sure if I am doing the right thing but have a girl tour guide who I met on the net for dinner the first night and she is brining a friend. However, surely would have a back-up plan for later that first night in case she plays coy and decides not to play naughty - as with all new friends.

We are still scratching around as to where to stay and are probably going to plumb for the viangbau mansion as it looks nice and neat although the location sucks as far as distance from the city. But, I understand it's near some naughty places and the rooms look great for the price.

We'd really like to check out the best "Karaoke place" at see if we can snag ourselves some of their best talents. Any recommendations ?

Thanks for the info, Thrillseeker. I don't know about the Karaoke, but 2000 for a ST with the girl seems very high. Well, as long as you enjoyed it and it didn't 'hurt' yoru pocket too much, it's a good experience.

Am keen to know some people in Singapore though, as it is a good visa-run destination from BKK. (My visa requires me to take a holiday every ninety fucking days).

As for your tour-guide, it ain't a bad thing. After dinner if she's not what you want then make your excuses and leave. CM is a great town for eat out, loads of great restaurants, so it is always good to have a dinner companion.

Where to stay... hmm... all depends on budget etc. I'd stay at The Chedi if I had to stay in a CM hotel. Then again, it may still be a little damp from the floods.

And karaokes/hostess-bars, well, the best places are Ten, Twenty, New Star Palace, and several others whose names escape me. I also like some of the small places on Sri Donchai Road.

Reasonable location, excellent rooms/facilities/restaurant/bar etc, guest-friendly, not cheap though.

Not cheap is an understatement 10400 Baht in season is only 4-8 times the price of the places I'm considering.

Try the Imperial Mae Ping or the Duangtawan hotel. They are walikng distant to the night market. You should be able to book them for +/- Bhat1,600with b'fast which is what I get. as for Karaokes, try Top Ten or Club Twenty, you will need ride to this places. prices are reasonable from what I know as usually my thai friend pays and you can bar fine(bhat2,000) the girl which includes the fuck.

Ya, I stayed at the Chedi in Bali once but for that kind of money, you really want the right kind of girlfriend (non p4p) along or, its "casting pearls to swines!"

For p4p, I usually stay in budget type places and have a ball just the same!

My final plan is to stay at the Viang Bau Mansion and Apartment for two reasons - damm cheap and the photos of the room looks great and thats all we need as we will be golfing in the day and partying out till late nights before settling in for the nightly fuckfest.

No need for even a pool and my specially arranged price is something unbelievable ! Further, I want to avoid joiner fees too for p4p.


Will check out Ten & Twenty , New Star and the smaller places as you suggested. The smaller places are Karaokes or bars or????

[/QUOTE]We have a car on rental for all 3 days to get us around to golfing and all the places so being within walking distance is not key for us. Thanks for affirming the same places as Coma Boy. Will check out where is Club Twenty located with locals when we get there.

What about local pick up joints where we can try for FLs targetting locals and / or just WLs after hours such as massage girls, waitresses, Karaoke booking joint girls after duty? Those looking to make up their bank deficits? Bubbles sounds like the bottom of the barrel and I suspect that there must be some places in the city where the "men about the town" gather to be seen and pick up the choiciest ladies out on the prowl?

In Phuket which I know well, this would be Kor Tor Mor, Timber Rock and Jammin but in CM, I am LOST.

Lastly, in Phuket, most of the night places allow me to bring in my bottle of JW Black and may I presume that CM is the same being kind of upcountry like Phuket where they charge for ice and mixers when you bring your own bottle.

Your input on this could save a bundle besides the fact that having the bottle will surely help us and the girls get merry quickly enough as is my usual tactic.
