I have never heard 222, however, back in the early 2000's, the girls used to say 333 about the Japanese customers meaning 3 inches for 3 minutes for 3000 baht. They were paying 3000 even way back in the early 2000's so I can't imagine when it was that they were paying only 2000 to qualify for 222. My guess is the Japanese are paying 5 to 7000 now so the girls don't use the joke anymore since they exceeded the length possibility when it went past 3.

One week ago I saw a dermatologist at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya (BHP) for a skin rash. Went home with some medicines, next day the rash was gone, would most certainly have gone away by itself. The price charged was reasonable, something like 1700 thb.
Now today at 3 pm I got a phone call from BHP to remind me of an appointment tomorrow. I had not recollection of any appointment tomorrow and I said so after some talking at cross purposes. One hour after that phone call I got an unanswerable text message saying "Mr. (my name) has an appointment with Dr. (doctor's name) at Dermatology Center on 16/11/18 at 13:00 at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya."
Where I come from after you got dismissed by a doctor for a minor ailment you only came back if explicitely agreed or if the condition didn't improve.
Is it customary for a hospital / doctor to unilaterally decide days later that I should come for a follow-up appointment? The fact that they have been calling me reinforces my suspicion no 2nd appointment was ever agreed on (one never knows with language problems). Otherwise why call me? It was not as though I was having an operation. It was just, at best, a redundant 2nd consultation.
I know we are cash cows. I don't mind being one of sorts. I have good insurance coverage. But this feels eerie.
I have had no serious medical or dental issues so far in Thailand but the few interactions I've had have been tainted by weird little anomalies that do not add up to an encouraging impression.

I had not scheduled a follow up, but they called me saying I did have one coming up the following week. I called them back saying I did not need a follow up and to cancel that since we never agreed upon it in the first place. A few months later I received the bill for not showing up for the follow up. I called them refusing to pay and asked them to remove that charge. A few months later I received a letter from a lawyer stating they were suing me. It also hit my credit report as a negative.
So it's not just Thailand.

They were forward and aggressive. Liked to drink and dance. Place was a raucous party every night. How could I describe it? Gals were in some ways like Soi 6 gals in Pattaya. Pulled hundreds of gals there from 99-07. Now, bunch of gals standing around with dudes circling. Like a middle school dance. Very little interaction and rarely will you see a gal drinking and having a good time. They all adopt this faux demure attitude because that is what the majority of the current crop of customers want. I was in there the other night with a group of friends and ran into a dude I had not seen in awhile. We were talking and guess some gal was irritated that we were standing in front of her, she kept telling us to move, we didn't, plenty of room for traffic around us, kept pointing for us to walk on, we didn't, finally my friend had to tell her to f& off to get her to shut up. FFS we were drinking and spending money at the bar. The place just is not fun anymore. It's the antithesis. Asian style and Farang style are different. Not better or worse, but different. The gals in Thermae cater to their customer base. It's predominately Asian. And it just ain't my thing.
Lots of young Asian dudes in Thermae as well. I love seeing young dudes in the P4 P scene. Young white men in BKK are not using P4 P. Most farang guys under 40 and almost all under 35 are really anti-P4 P. They cast aspersions at men who participate. Sad really.

Sigh.[/QUOTE]If you are quoting to reply to a post while on your smartphone, it does require much more effort to delete the unnecessary parts and leave the small portion you're replying about. But it can be done. I do wish there was simply a Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down option to eliminate the "I agree" or "Good post" comments after a very long FR has been quoted. But, again, that is mostly an annoyance when you are reading these threads on a smartphone. It is easy to skim past them while on a full sized computer or laptop.

I mean, even the old hags at beergarden start out asking 2 K LT. Certainly there are some lookers in Thermae, but I have never tried. Some have made it known to me that my Western sausage would not be barred, but I never went into negotiations. For me, Thermae is just cheap entertainment for the cost of a couple Singhas when in BKK.
BTW is there anyone who has figured out if there is system for the girls' parking slots? It seems there are often a lot cuties hiding in the back near the staircase. A seniority thing?
