Cienaga, I don't recall name but something Mariscos. It is easy to find. If I remember right it is two blocks west of the front of the cathedral on the corner. I know it is on corner on South side of Ave. 16 de Septembre. Seems like the entrees were about $5 US and some less. Very busy with well dressed locals at lunch which is always a good sign. Moderately priced cold beer to go with your food if you like. rbc100
If I remember right, they have a location about there. Just east of the ralroad tracks. That's the first one that I ever had dinner at in CJ. For the ultimate experience though, if you can get out on Av. del las Aztecas, go to Mariscos Edgar. IMHO the best in CJ.
Could it be Los Arcos at the corner of Av. 16 de Septiembre and Av. De las Américas? I have gotten good reports on this place but have yet to try it.
Any more clues as to the location of the ladies in the gallery that Mugroso posted?
Experience says overpriced and overrated as of about 3 years ago. Never went back again to try it again.
You guys enjoying the water???? 6 inches since Sunday, WOW that's a bunch for that area.

The Rio Grande overflowed its banks and ran through Anapra. Check out the photos in El Diario

El Paso Times has some good pics too.
Maybe I'll go to Centro tomorrow to see if enthusiasm has been 'dampened' any.

I went to Los Arcos once, it was nice, I did not feel it was overpriced, but I was underdressed relative to everyone else in the place and I felt like a peasant.
I prefer Mariscos de Mazatlan, the decor is quite elegant, but you do not feel like a heel if you are dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. And the food is unbelievably good and reasonably priced. Villa del Mar, which is practically next door to Mariscos de Mazatlan, is also nice and has some different menu items. Also reasonably priced, it is good for a change of pace. But the Camarones al Ajo at Mariscos de Mazatlan is one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten.
P.S. I heard you guys got a little rain down that way, hope nobody got washed away.

A couple of years ago we got a foot of rain inside of 24 hours. That is a lot of frigging rain, BTW, for any area. We have pretty good drainage, and I live on top of the hill, and water was still running down the street like a river. Lots of folks, the ones not on top of the hill, got some flooding with that one.
Worst flood in 50 years they say. I drove along the Rio Grande on the way home today and though it had gone down considerably since yesterday it was something to see. Since I’ll be 107 the next time I wanted to take a look. The local newsies were in the usual panic mode though not a soul was killed or injured in ELP. Have not heard any reports from Juarez as yet.
The last 7 or 8 years I spent in Las Vegas NV, we saw a few "100 year flood" events and a few years ago a "500 year" event. What I've been seeing on the news and Clydesdale's great link looks a lot worse than that. A lot worse.
The one pic, on Clydesdale's El Diario link, that puts it all in perspective for me is the train trestle (last pic) shot. That's usually just a muddy little trickle that people are walking thru.
A cutie in a bright white dress. Her back was towards me but her lovely skin and shape caught my eye like you wouldn’t believe.
I ease passed her and turn my head to the mirror at the bar to get a face shot and holy frijole. I looked at her face directly and oh man, oh man. She is someone connected to my ex-novia from 7 years ago. Not Veronica but Laura who used to work at Queens Place back when it was good. I have waited for this tasty morsel to fall into my web for the longest time but we were always under a watchful eye. Tonight was the night.

I got this shot of Mugroso and Vivianna during the Mongerpalosa and thought you guys would all enjoy it.
Enjoy,

El Centro was pretty quiet last night. It didn't look like it suffered too much damage, but some places with basements were being pumped out. The bridge was closed to northbound pedestrians and traffic. you could go to Mexico, you just couldn't come back that way. Apparently there was a dam in Juarez they were concerned was going to break, and that part of El Paso could have flooded. Traffic on the free bridge was light - about a 2-3 minute wait coming back.
With lots of girls needing to make a buck and very few customers, a person with a pocket full of money could have a pretty good time last night. I saw something in Fausto's I don't see much of in Juarez, a pierced p*s*y. She was a cute morena, not skinny, but with a narrow waist.
Hey, Gntlman Mongr, that's a great picture of Mugroso. I was able to recognize him even with his face covered. I don't know what tipped me off.

Thanks for that link. I think pic 30 of 36 is the dam that was of concern, prompting the evac in El Paso. Looks like the one they were showing on the local news.
How has the rain affected border crossing? I will be in El Paso in a few days.
Thanks - Dave.

It's back open again - no problem parking.
