I also encourage all visitors to Puerto Vallarta to checkout a bar called Calypso which formally housed a bar called Clandestanos (not sure of the exact spelling of it) but it is located on 126 Honduras street. It is just a few feet from the beach, and the main road that goes along the oceanfront of downtown Puerto Vallarta. If you are on the main road and see a Pemex Gas station, you will be very close to Honduras. Stravaganza, El y Ellas, Conojitos, are all the same types of places, Mexican stripclubs, where the infrastructure is not as nice as say the United States style clubs that are in Puerto Vallarta, such as Prestige, Hysteria, Azul, e.c.t., and of course the quality is not as good over all, but there are definitely beautiful chicas to be found in them. Then of course you have Las Alazenas, which is a must for anyone to stop in and see, as it is a classic Mexican whor_house style bar. I have made several posts on here about the place, and it is one of my favorite places to go, for a number of reasons. One being a chica working in there only costs between $40 to $50.00 dollars for full service, and a beer only costs about $2 to $3.00 dollars. The rooms on the premises you take the girls to, I have found to be clean, and many of the girls actually live there. The place is quite popular to the locals. Second of all, one of my best friends in Puerto Vallarta is the manager there. His name is Chava, and he is one of the two waiters that work there. Three, it is just a fun place to stop in and have a beer or two, as I like the atmosphere of the place, because it is a cultural experience to be sure.
The outer area places you mentioned in your post Rohjay, you do not want to waste your time going to. You will find absolutely nothing in the way of girls or excitement!.
You are going to have a good time in Puerto Vallarta, but it is imperative you call my friend Rogilio, as I will let him know when I get to Puerto Vallarta on the 3rd, that you will be contacting him later on in the month. He does speak and understand english, even though he isn't fluent in the language. This way we can try to organize some things for you previous to your arrival.

My report on my trip to Puerto Vallarta from April 3rd-5th.
Hotel: I stayed at the San Marino hotel and once again I had problems with getting what I had requested when I purchased my lodging for Puerto Vallarta. Last visit as I noted in a previous report it was at the Hotel Eloisa. I had requested an ocean view room with a king size bed, only to find out they had neither one available on my Friday check in as they had no vacancy. They told me they would be able to accommodate my requests on Saturday morning. On Saturday morning I was tired and hung over from partying all night, not getting back to the hotel until the sun was coming up in the morning, and with staying only one more day, I just said forget it.
My room was the typical hotel room for a 2.5 to 3 star hotel. The service was exceptional, and this particular property that sits directly on the beach, had some beautiful grounds and a pool. It also provides you chairs, towels, and has kayaks, e.c.t, for you to use if you are into the beach and water activities. There is also some good restaurants in the hotel. The one thing I did not like, was my bed was hard as a rock. Also they are now going to start charging 300 pesos for additional guests to your room. However, the night security guard, let me come in with a girl by putting one hundred pesos in his hand. I also passed several times on Friday with female friends, and nothing was said. This hotel sits in what is referred to as Old Vallarta, which is my favorite area of Puerto Vallarta. You have shops, restaurants, bars, casa de cambios, pharmacies, super markets, and almost anything else you want all basically on your door step.
Beach: The beach area in front of the hotel is really nice, and I consider Los Muertos beach to be one of the best in all of Puerto Vallarta. It is probably the most popular beach for the locals. A long pier stretches out into the water, and this pier serves as a tourist spot, a place to go fishing, e.c.t. There is also a volleyball net set up on the beach, as you exit on to the beach from the hotel. I spent about 4 hours on Saturday at the beach, and the same on Sunday, The volleyball area was quite popular. This is directly next to the San Marino hotel, and anyone who wanted to play was welcome. I also noticed alot of people on the beach, with most of the tourists being I believe from Guadalajara, who were in town for semana week, which is quite popular for Mexicans, and one of there preferred locations to spend this holiday is in Puerto Vallarta.
Nightlife: I go on bar tours each time I am in Puerto Vallarta and this time was no different. I do not go to any tourist bars, as I like to experience the Mexican culture. I go to Mexican cantinas where the beers are one dollar, where you have good Mexican appetizers called "botanas", and where you have juke boxes playing banda music, and Mexican waitresses eager to meet a gringo. Names of some of the bars I went to were called, Calypso bar, Mar y Tierra, Jaconitos (? ), Esmeraldas, The Revolution, as well as going to the Mexican style strip clubs, such as El y Ellas, Stravaganza, and the whor-house bar, and a long time favorite of mine, called Las Alazenas. Conojitos bar was closed down this weekend, do to a raid by drug enforcement I was told.
I really had a memorable time in El y Ellas. I met a husband and wife who sat next to me on my flight to Puerto Vallarta. He was a gringo, and she was a Colombiana. Both of them were in there 40’s, and I could tell she was open to having a lot of fun. They had asked me about things to do in Puerto Vallarta, such as restaurants I would recommend, as well as the nightlife. It was also the Colombianas birthday on Saturday. I really clicked with them, so I invited them to come out and party with me. On Saturday they called me telling me they wanted to party, and wanted to know where and at what time they could meet me, so knowing it was her birthday, I arranged for a 5 piece band I know to show up at the bar Mar y Tierra to sing her happy birthday. I had informed her husband what I was going to do when I spoke to him on the telephone, and he thought this would be very cool, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience for her, which will go down as one of the best nights she has ever experienced in her life.
From the Mar y Tierra bar, we went on a bar tour as I noted above, ending up at El y Ellas. I ordered a bottle of Traditional tequila and a bottle of Bacardi rum. By the time we got to El y Ellas, the Colombiana was on happy street, as she was enjoying the drinks, the atmosphere that was in the various cantinas, as well as the people I introduced her to along the way. Her husband was feeling the same way. In El y Ellas with her husbands permission, I got her a private dance with one of the girls, and this girl from El y Ellas was simply amazing in every way. She was extremely beautiful, has a knockout petite body with long nipples, and sexual as a girl can possibly be. She is one of those girls, that is a must to have! My taxi driver friend Rogilio who is with me every time I am in Puerto Vallarta, and who I, as well as others, have mentioned many times here on the board, had the girl Exthalmus was with the previous week also join our group. This was the first time the Colombiana ever experienced the touch of another female, so this made things even more exciting. The waiters were all cool with what was going on, as I had given them good tips, so they had no problem with what was taking place. They just told us to cool it if the police or reglamentos came around. During this entire time in El y Ellas, we had several private dances which are 100 pesos each. We did this to keep everyone happy, so the bar and the girls knew we spending money, and it was just part of creating the party atmosphere. At about 3 in the morning, the Colombiana and her husband were worn out so they left to go to there hotel. Rogilio and myself went to Stravaganza and Las Alazenas, where I picked up the hostess (Alejandra, see pic) from Stravaganza, whom I was with on one other occasion in the past for free. I took this bit-h back to my hotel room, and this turned out to be a big mistake, as the bit_h stole my camera when she left at 8 in the morning, as I laid in my bed passed out. Of course I contacted her as soon as I awoke and noticed my camera was gone from the dresser top, but obviously she was not going to admit to it. However, I put the word out to some friends about the situation regarding my camera, and tonight, Monday, I received a message telling me my camera was now in the hands of one of those good friends. It was either she was going to give the camera back or face some consequences that were pretty severe. Other than the incident involving the camera it was a night that was memorable, not only for the couple who partied with me, but it was a night I will forever remember, and hope to repeat in the very near future, but more than likely it will not be until the first part of August, as I am off to Cartagena and Santa Marta, Colombia next week, then to Cali, Colombia in May, and in the latter part of June and the first part of July, I have tentative plans to go back to Thailand, or spend some time touring Guayaquil, Ecuador, and Venezuela.
A couple other notes:
On Friday night I had my share of Traditional tequila in me, so I decided to take the group I was with dancing to the Salsa bar that is located next to the bar called Roxy, and was the former home of The Shrimp Factory in old Vallarta. This was also a lot of fun, so if you are looking for a place to go and dance, you might want to consider this place.
The bar Calypso is a normal type of Mexican cantina/bar where you can get a dollar beer and be able to relax and shoot a game of pool if you want. They also have a juke box that has everything on it from American classic rock to Mexican music. My special friend Rossy, just opened the bar a couple of months ago, and with tourism being way down for a number of reasons, she is struggling to make it, as are most bars in Puerto Vallarta and elsewhere are, so I want to do anything I can to help her make it through these difficult times, as she has a good amount of money invested in the bar, not to mention she works her ass off, as in working 12 to 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, to try to make a go of it. I really appreciate any and all who go and have a drink or two at this place. Just tell her, her special gringo friend Eduardo recommended that you stop by. She is about 27 years old, very nice looking with long blond hair, and is just a great person to go along with that physical beauty. Thanks a million! The bar sets a couple doors off of the beach on Honduras Street, and in years past was called Clandestanos. If you are on the main road that passes by downtown Puerto Vallarta, that also runs next to the board walk area called the Malecon, you cannot miss it. It is one block from the Pemex gas station. If you are anywhere on the main drag, and you find Honduras, go towards the beach and it is on your left hand side a half a block down. Across the street from the bar is a street taco stand that opens up about 8pm, and they serve some of the best tacos de pastor you will find in the city of Puerto Vallarta.
