I spent a couple of days in Budapest on business last week, but was not going to miss an oportunity to do a bit of mongering. Armed with the information from ISG (thanks, guys!) I was intent on avoiding rip-off nightclubs and overpriced escort services. (No slur intended, but in my personal experience women of this nation ARE more likely to turn tricks.)

On my second night I ventured out and met a short redhead by the name of Maria who offered to come to my room for an hour for 20,000 HFL (about 40 euros). Did an hour really, I wanted to know, mean 60 minutes? "Oh sure, you have sex one time, three times...". (Sure babe, whatever you say.) I was undecided and about to leave, so she pulled my sleave, "look mister, how much you want to pay? We can say 30 euros..." At which point I decided to try out my well-tested principle when with streetwalkder: never haggle over prices, always over quality. Her service was good, especially seeing as I had only payed 40 euros for a rather long time, and she was clearly intent on making me come back. (and the price she offered me as a counter-bargain was 15,000 huf - i just translated it into euros.) don't worry: i wasn't under the misapprehension that the price i payed was much lower than it was, i simply messed up the numbers as i typed my report. this was probably because i had the following additional reporting in mind, where prices are around 40 euros.

on this thread one finds several references to the peep shows around jozsef street, most of them somewhat disparaging. well, i beg to differ. i managed to squeeze a couple of free afternoon hours out of my business trip and went there. this is an experience i'd recommend to all mongering frinds visiting budapest. - not because the sex is good, but because the experience is so surreal that it must be amusing to anyone with a sense of humour.

unlike what we may call "real" peepshows most of the clubs don't have a central stage. they have one cabin per working girl usually with her name written on the door. this allows a face-to-face with the prospective clients who are requested to plump a 100 huf piece into a slot in the wall whereupon the girl starts dancing, masturbating, making inviting noises and anything else she can think of. it takes only 20-30 seconds and then you're asked to decide whether or not you want a private session.

the price of a private session ranges from 7,000 (bj) to 10-15,000 (bj+fs) plus a couple of thousands for the use of a cabin. a pleasant surprise was, most of the girls look really nice. i'd have expected that, shopping at the extreme low of the market, the providers might have been ageing, flappy, vulgar looking, heavily tattooed - or all of the above - but no, they were mostly hardbodied, goodlooking and in their 20ies or early 30ies.

i couldn't resist a peepshow which was located in the basement of a hotel with the incredible name "hotel swing". i mean... really! maybe the hotel was the sort of "love hotel" they have in tokyo? or the name was just a hilarious coincidence in a country where most people don't speak english? the peepshow turned out to be located in a corner of a larger sex shop/cinema. a boulder-like young man precided over the proceedings and told me in a halting english that he had only two girls because "eet still aftornoon". ok, let's look at them, then. he broke a banknote into 100 huf coins for me and i went to sample the lolly.
