After a failed visit to Dekada’s on my last trip to Warsaw (see my previous trip report), I was determined to get to the bottom of whether or not punters should spend their valuable time in this place or write it off altogether. Dekada is a regular nightclub, within walking distance of the Jan III Sobieski hotel. Every taxi driver I used knew how to get to both the hotel and the club. The club has a lowered central dance floor with three bar areas surrounding it. This makes it great for ordering a drink and sitting at the bar or surveying the action on the dance floor from a raised vantage point. There is a converted tram in the club as well as a more private back room. Dekada also serves food at reasonable prices but do not expect a gourmet meal here.

My first visit to Dekada on this trip was on a Wednesday night. I arrived at about 11:15pm and there was no cover charge. There were no more than 10 people in the place and none of them were working girls. This was reminiscent of my last visit to the club; the difference being that -30° centigrade weather could not be used as an excuse this time around. I had a drink and took a 25 zlys taxi ride back to the Hyatt. Before retiring, I decided to play some blackjack at the casino in the hotel. I won 100 zlys. I was lucky on Friday night but in my opinion it is by no means a certainty that you will walk out of Dekada with a babe on your arm every time. If you are looking for a sure thing, this is not the place to visit. If you are willing to try your luck with local girls out for the night, look no further than Dekada on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

I got as far as entering the door on Thursday night, but didn't want to "invest" 10 Zl, or more importantly, the time during my last night in Warsaw to find out if it was worth it. Instead I went to Studio 3 nearby and had a great time. Sometimes you have to go for the bird in the hand instead of two in the bush. I'm glad it worked out for you.
