Second thing: if you date a young Chinese girl, chances are a guy was already "waiting" for her. Most girls have their own "stalker", a guy that she met in High School or University and who is convinced that sincerity and time will end up showing the girl their true value. So basically they ca wait for years and traditionnally end up getting the girl when she feels down, get dumped or can't find a husband. Very common un China.

As I said before, these guys can wait months, years before even trying to hold the girl's hand, so when you arrive and get her in your bed in a matter of days, the Geeks / Stalkers usually get VERY VERY mad. So careful, in some cases they might want to fight. They're usually not very strong, but you don't want to get into any kind of trouble so if a guy gets in the way. When I was at unversity I ended up challenging a guy at Street Fighter. They assume that occidental people suck at computer games, so I ended up crushing him in front of all of his friends. His lost his face and never showed up again.

2 Tell her it makes you feel uncomfortable and explain

3 Don't rush things

For those who know the game- there's enough lighting to read pupils, not always, but often enough. Alcohol per glass is a little pricey, but the bottles are cheaper than most of the other places (we picked up Jose Cuervos Gold for 480ish, I think). One of my friends works there and he kept loading us up with free drink vouchers all night, so we didn't need to get the bottle, but I made the call for it anyways. No cover on the night we went (Saturday).

The average girl there is probably a 6-7, expect to find a number of Western girls in there too. For those of us rolling in dough, there are LOTS of lonely local females sitting at the tables. For everyone else, lots of small groups (1-2 mostly) of both locals and foreigners at the bar. I personally opted for this stunning HB8 Colombian. She and her friend joined us. We shared drinks, I danced a little with them. Closed with a kiss and number- I went to Muse2, she stayed at SoHo. Around 4AM she gives me a call to get my apartment address and cabs over.

I'd certainly like to give the "pay scene" a try though, got a list together and everything. Any of you mongers mind taking on an apprentice? My friend is visiting from Canada, so I'd love to take him some place, on recommendation. If any of you have some free time and wouldn't mind bringing along a newbie, send me a message. I want to put up a question for debate.

Thank you for the kind words. All in all, I think I've been spending WAYYYY too much time on ISG, but there's always things that jars me into writing as I know that directly/indirectly/immediately/sooner or later, it will affect me.

Too many guys go into China without even trying to understand what it's all about - and end up screwing things up for the rest of us guys who are "in situ" so to call.

But then, even those who are "in situ" also gets lulled into a sense of complacency or worse - arrogance. They get so used to being treated as practically "masters" - simply because of their economic superiority - that they think that whatever they think or do is going to be welcomed and received with praise. That they are entitled to shit anywhere they like as their shit don't stink no more - never mind that "back home' they are nothing more than an ordinary Joe or even less.

Yes China is very welcoming of the foreign visitor - even those who comes just to monger - and yes the Chinese will defer to the wishes of those who comes in bringing $$, have enviable lives - and even avoid confrontation with Westerners with comparatively and generally larger physique (and probably go to the gym more often). But it is SO WRONG how some BSD's act and thinks in China. Would these guys get away with it back home? Or in some other prosperous countries? Think Japan where the gaijin monger practically needs to beg to get any kind of service.

Now, I am NOT saying that all furreners into China acts like the assholes I've described - far from it - and IMHO, most of them are very decent people. I've met and become friends with a helluva lot of these China visitors - but even for these, I've seen how they've evolved into true assholes. Thinking nothing about what others (especially Chinese counterparties) think AND feel.

I've written this just as a bit of a reminder and certainly do NOT mean/want to cause any offense to anybody and this all is of course only IMHO.

So my knowledge is limited, but I spent a few days with upper middle class Chinese in China (successful business people and/or University graduates) and observed how they treated their inferiors. No need for us foreigners to feel guilty! They treat their own people like shit. I believe the situation is similar in Thailand and Burma. I arrive there with some money, then I just adapt to the local “educated” class behavior and the “lower” class will even expect it from me. It does not matter, that at home my status may not be so high at all. Nobody would even believe me. That is what sex tourism is all about. Enjoy as long as you can!

Good God - I hope you are NOT meaning to say what your writing seem to indicate - that yes - 100% OK for foreigners to go ahead and keep on acting like arrogant asshole and for the BSD's to keep on throwing money around at the Chinese.

seaj[/quote]just to offer a different view, from one that has been living in china for a good number of years now. you have a very valid point in that we "expats" have developed a rudeness (you call it arrogance), that would be less than acceptable in any western countries. when i travel abroad, i have to remind myself i am no longer in china and temper my behaviour. i agree with you that many of the long-term expats have developed a pattern of behaviour that on the surface seems less thoughtful. my perspective on why that is so.

i don't believe its because we think we are economically superior. in point of fact, many of these chinese have come by immense amounts of wealth, but in my opinion, in most cases through no inspiring stroke of genius. the bought property in a protected market, they bought stocks in a manipulated stock exchange, the entered into businesses with secured government backing, they stole money or took bribes. they made their money off the backs of the american consumer, stealing technology, and yes the westerners gave it all to them. but even this, admittedly stereotyping, does not suggest to me the attitude exhibited by westerners.

rather, it is the absolute arrogance, rudeness and daily incompetency of dealing with the chinese on daily basis. their pusing and shoving, cutting in front in lines, cutting off cars, spitting everywhere, the noises they make when eating, farting in public, walking into people, their dogs sh---ing on the sidewalk, throwing their garbage on the sidewalk, lack of any type of reasonable service in most retail outlets.

many of us who work with chinese, experience long days, 12 hours plus, home companies that provide us 2% annual salary increases while 8 hour a day chinese insist and get 15% or better. and in case the suggestion is that they come from a lower base, an "experienced" chinese engineer costs as much as a usa with more years of experience. and it takes 3 of them to perform the same job in twice the time. the "high" flyer chinese professionals are arrogant in their self importance, with far less ability than a western peer of equal level, and at the first sign of stress head for the door to attain an even higher salary from the next company. the new labor laws virtually make it impossible to fire any worthless individual with senority, and even to get rid of them, one always pays. then there is the corruption, where a full time audit staff could work to uncover their kickbacks, gratuities, related party transactions. not that one would get a chinese audit staff to do so, as they would never report it. and i won't even get into their total disregard for any human being other than themselves, from polluting the environment (i am not a tree-hugger either), to setting off fireworks at all hours of the night, to stinking up the whole apartment complex as they cook their rotten fish. not to forget the wonderful dinners they serve of boiled camel ass, snake bones, donkey penis and industrial toxic waste (they call white wine)

the list of things that could be cited in regards to chinese behaviour could fill volumes, but after awhile, one does begin to behave like them. i like my size in relation to them, when they walk into me, my size can send them flying. i enjoy, pushing them out of line when they cut in front of me. that rudeness is the chinese way and suggest perhaps we are only adapting.

not to forget the purpose of the forum, then the girls. getting a chinese girl of any age, or marital status, is not a problem. getting rid of one is the challenge. and for the most part, the girls are the only bright spot on the chinese front. true gf are plentiful and the only reason to p4p is so you don't have to be hooked to one girl. once you have a gf though watch out, her male friends will discriminate against her because she is going out with a foreigner, they will actually seek "loans" from her because of her rich bf. many of the cutiest, are flat chested, which is sometimes hard to discover until the padded bra comes off. have to admit though, everyone i've been with eventuates into a sexual adventurer. conversation of a meaningful nature is completely lacking and find i move on more out of boredom than anything else.

finally the basic premise that we foreigners will eventually ruin china, because of our behaviour. i don't agree with that, the chinese will cater to us only so long as we serve a purpose. that purpose and tolerance dictated by the government. once the government decides foreigners are no longer valued, the whole tolerance will evaporate. even in the last couple of years, i've seen a major shift in the value placed on the foreign advisors. as a population we are not liked here in china, we are required. the chinese people as a population don't love us, never have, they want what we have, and for that they need us. today. their fake courtesy in social settings, their apparant deference to us, one has to be here awhile to see what they really think. even the little gifts they give to foreigners, they would never give to a chinese person, all that psuedo jade, pictures, they call it tourist junk for the foreigners. trinkets to the indians.

i am here for the money, plain and simple. with a degree in chinese studies, what i once thought was an intriguing gentle culture, i see now to be a very opportunistic culture. think i am too harsh. who's picture is on all the money and hangs above the great gate overlooking tianamin square? mao, the single biggest mass murderer in world history. stalin and hitler were absolute amateurs to what this man did, and he is their icon. and don't be so niave to think there is a separation between government, business and the people. the best and brightest join the communist party, they are all part of the system. arrogant and rude, maybe so, but feel i fit right in to the chinese system. my opinion and value yours, thanks
