Medellin Reports

That makes three times in just under a year I've had cash stolen out of my hotel room. I believe all by maids, this time for sure.

The irony was I was just getting ready to post about how good the field testing has been on hiding my cash in the panito bags like I posted before. Especially when you put a dry and slightly dirty panito on top of the money the girls open the bag look inside touch it, make a facial expression of rejection and then put it back down. I've had at least 20 girls do it and they never once suspected that they were holding a big wad of cash in their hands.

I would add that if your using this travel hack then you are holding too much money in your room to begin with, but for reasons that I will not go into here, sometimes that becomes necessary for me.

The reason it didn't work this time was because I was a dumb-fuck and I told the two maids where my money was hidden. I'd been in the hotel for about a month and thought I really bonded with the maids. We were flirting a lot and hugging and kisses on the cheeks. Two days after I showed them the panito bag with the money, it was gone.

My thought at the time was that I trusted them and it was not a lot of cash in there and I was afraid they would think it was empty and throw it out.

I even know which maid did it because as soon as I called her back to the room before I could even say one word she started crying tears down her face. I know she feels guilty and I don't think it was her idea I think she told someone about it and they put her up to it but no matter.

The manager wanted to file a police report, but I didn't feel like spending the time looking at camera footage and filling out Spanish forms so I blew it off.

I still believe the concept is practically bulletproof, unless you do something stupid like I did and show them exactly where the money is hidden, jajajaja. Keep On Keepin' On!

Most of the girls who work online in Colombia expect to receive 100-200 k for an hour. It doesn't matter how many days you are telling them you want them to stay, they have no guarantee that you'll keep them for 20 days. They have no idea if they want to be around you for 20 days. What matters to them is you're expecting them to commit 24 hours for 1 hour of pay.

What's in it for them? Many of them have children to care for, or elderly family members who they support. They have dogs and cats and other obligations. How are they supposed to handle those obligations if they are stuck with you for 20 days?

Instead of thinking the fault lies with the Colombian women, maybe you should get a better idea of the local situation.

If a girl normally makes 150 k for a date, and it takes up 3 hours with travel time and preparation, she can, in a good week make 1.5 million pesos or more, with only 30 hours of her time. That leaves 138 hours to do what she wants, be with who she wants and to live her life. You're offering her 910 k and want to monopolize all her time. You've made no allowance for her to feed her dogs and children, to care for her grandmother, or spend any time with the people she cares about. And you expect her to kiss your feet for offering her such a deal?

All of that ignores the fact that you're both unknown to each other. You have no idea if you're in any way compatible, you have no idea if she's a thief, or if she has bad personal hygiene.

If you want to have a girlfriend in Colombia, spend your free time, while you're working in Colombia meeting women, talking to them, getting to know them and then find one who wants to be your girlfriend. You'll end up with someone who you are compatible with, someone who wants to be with you and you won't need to insult her by offering her a ridiculously low price for her time.

Just a little update.

Headed to Plaza Botero yesterday, was going to go early but was talking to my girl in Bogota for a few hours. Also in an apartment there usually is no cleaning service so in my case it is just the chicas to worry about, I keep the locks on my suit case and stash some stuff in their. Small laptop. Bluetooth speaker, phone charger etc, that way they would have to break the lock (not impossible but it takes effort ir cut it open) but I keep it right out in the open where I can always see it. But in your case you could even put the pequenin container inside the locked suitcase and it might be another layer of protection.

You very well might have them over for an hour and decide you don't like them as much as you thought you would. Then you wouldn't want them to stay. And the girls know this. The only way you can reliably predict a girlfriend experience over a week or two is by sampling them for an hour or two. Have a few chicks over to your place fo 150 k or so an hour. When you find one you get along with, ask her to stay a whole day or overnight. If you still get along well, then set up an arrangement for a week or two.
