My suggestion is to book an Arbnb or hotel in either laureles or nearby poblado for a couple of nights. You can take the metro or cab to see el centro and see if that kind of environment suits you? Be aware that a lot of the supporters of el centro here don't venture out at night for good reasons. This board is dominated by members that swear that el centro is great. I don't agree with that but I respect their opinions. I personally don't go there. If you want to stay in an arbnb in laureles, I would be careful about booking a room in SanPeter. The noise level is intolerable unless you are lucky enough to get a sound proof room. Only a few of the rooms provide that. Good luck

Anyone ever eat here before- is it as promising as it looks as an observation deck of the action?[/QUOTE]The video at 7:05 is a current view where-as your screen shot is located directly across the street and probably taken 5 years ago as the second floor short term room motel has been remodeled a few years ago and the 2nd floor seating has been reduced to the corner section.

I have fucked in that motel more times then I can count over the past 5 years. It is a cheap 7 mil for 30 minutes motel. I also have sat in the remodeled corner section and re-charged my batteries and watched the action below.

The restaurant as shown in the video at 7:05 is opened and very active place during the day and at any given time during the day and evening there are probably 30 chicas standing in the arched entry ways and right outside the eatery. I have only purchased drinks at this restaurant in the past 5 years and don't recall ever eating something.

You can take the bus to the Nutibara hotel and avoid the helpers and draggong luggage to the taxis. There is not much difference in distance.

The OP's original thinking wasn't wrong. If I were going to focus on casas in El Centro, and I am going to have two pops a day. Is it better to stay nearby and be able to go anytime I want and go back to the hotel any time I want. Or make a trip and stay out several hours not sure what to do during down time? Or make two trips each day?
