D'Oro Hotel opened up about a year ago in Itaewan. I have stayed there. very nice. I beleve it also was only about 110,00 won for the junior suite on the weekend and cheaper during the weeday.

Hotel Itaewaon was under renovation the last time I was there.

As Taloha indicates, the Itaewon Hotel currently is closed for renovations. Besides the Hotel D'Oro, which is very pleasant and very good value (and a stone's throw from "that" Hill and quite SP friendly, albeit pretty basic, there is the Grand Hyatt further up the other hill behind the D'Oro. Very Grand and $$$; also SP friendly. Another nearby hotel is the Capitol down near the U.S. Yongsan Garrison and next to the Command Compound of the UN; it's a mid-priced, Korean version of a Western hotel with an on-premises soapy sauna.

Well, Seoulstice, I wrote what I wrote, recalling that the place had a full blown, as it were, sauna, where one could get a soapy massage (among other things).
