But I would suggest everyone be wary of posts on the internet like, "I'm looking for a girl named..", "I met this girl once a while back (photo included) but lost her contact number. Anyone know her?", "Sounds great, can you give me her contact info and where she's working now? Did she do "xyz" for you?" and so on when you're dealing with this hobby.

I would say it is not the same concern for a girl whose photo and id is already out there on an escort site or massage shop site. Unless the report is about her providing something that is way off the listed service menu items on her profile perhaps.

Think it matters if the poster has been around a while and even appears to be a big proponent of your personal service requirements? Think again. My guy had been on those sites for months under several different identities on at least 3 different similar message boards at the time searching for and encouraging a report on his lady he could slam her about.

Based on the timeline and nature of my report he got access to her phone, connected the dots on her Line account (which she had me on), had my Line ID, my Line profile photo, knew approximately where I lived from a few of our Line chat comments and we were off to the races.

The internet is a big place with a lot of kooks in it. For every exceptionally determined and ill-intentioned dude like that one was it isn't hard to imagine 10 others just looking to create hassle and mischief for a specifically identified and located lady in question. This hobby is not like making model airplanes and collecting stamps.

TBH I don't really read your posts so I don't know your posting history but when someone makes a silly comment like a guy who has lived in Pattaya and Bangkok since 2015 and is a bar hopper easily hitting 10 bars during the day and an additional 10 bars at night and goes to every aspect of Thai bars including many Thai bars with no English name, Thaniya Road, many Thai discos, etc. has very limited experience about Thailand seems absolutely silly imo.

A new Nana Plaza go-go bar has opened in the spot previously occupied by Chili's Bar on the second level called Whiskey & GoGo. It has the same stage and customer booth lay out it had when it was called Chili's. There is a weird additional door separating it from Random GoGo bar on the same end of that floor. Watch your step over the "busted kneecap waiting to happen" threshold bump where that weird door is mounted.

I surmise that additional door is only there to extend the entrance to the bar far enough out to be seen from the ground level. Otherwise, the sign and door would be so far back in the corner you might never know a go-go bar is there. That was the case when it was called Chili's Bar.

I just popped into the new small bar for a moment to look around. Some of the 10 or so girls onstage looked pretty good at a glance but it was hard to tell in such dark lighting. Maybe I will go back some night soon to see if the attitude of the girls is as accommodating to my needs as they were back when it was called Chili's, way back when only 1 or 2 dancers were ladyboys.

And the small one on Soi 4 between The Tavern and Ibis Novotel Hotel. The Family Mart near the bottom of the escalator on the Soi 8 side of bts Nana has just been boarded up, too.

However, bear in mind most of these closures are concentrated in the tourist area around Sukhumvit between Asok and Soi 4/Soi Nana. And in the immediate Patpong area, too. I can't say I have seen many if any 7-11, Family Mart, bar, restaurant, shop and store closures in Bangkok once you get 2-3 bts skytrain and mrt subway stations away from those areas and beyond.

In fact, they seem to be rocking busy and doing just fine without us out there. In Bangkok, that is. I assume it's much more dire in Pattaya except for the weekends and on the tourist destination islands.

[/QUOTE]True ET shops are being shuttered in tourist areas like lower Sukhumvit and Pattaya but it would be misleading to imagine all doing just fine further on down the line. Life for millions of Thais who directly or indirectly depend on tourism for a living are now without an income and the absence of their spending in areas of the country where they live I think you'll agree means business's there while still getting by are not doing nearly as well as they were pre pandemic.
