Never done this type accommodation and was wondering if its best to try to get a casa for myself for more privacy and best location to busy action streets and bars? Realize the cost increase as see so many on website its amazing! Can you get privacy in a different type of AIRBNB accommodation? Not sure what is best but will contact owner to make sure "A OK" with female guests. Some DD on it but still reluctant to book until I know more info. Any feedback mucho appreciated. Gracias.

I traveled on the day the new regs went into effect and just returned back home. The departing flight from the US was non eventful. No mention of the new regulations. If I didn't get a call from my buddy the day before I traveled about the new policy, I would have never known. The flight wasn't full, but plenty of people and nobody seemed concerned at all. The Havana side was business as usual. Returning back to the US was again business as usual. No questions asked at Immigration. Not that it means anything as far as the rules are concerned, since the Treasury Department OFAC section has jurisdiction over the Cuba travel regulations. Only time will tell how far they plan on going as far as enforcement of the new travel restrictions.

If you are traveling to Cuba, stick to Support for Cuban People. The rules in that category are somewhat vague in some instances, but for individual travel it's the best way to go if you don't meet the requirements in the other categories. Under support for Cuban people, they specifically emphasize staying at a casa particular (Airbnb or similar), and patronizing privately owned restaurants (paladars) and businesses. Although those alone won't fully satisfy the new requirements, they are a good start if you want to be in compliance.

I've gone to Cuba since the late 90's through three different US administrations and I never had a problem.

I saw on the news this morning that Alaska Airlines has cancelled their direct flights from LAX to Havana, that sucks as I was thinking about a quick visit.

I'm planning to make my first trip to Havana in several years. I understand I can book a private room in central Havana through Airbnb. Last time I had a private driver that I paid $25 a day for about 8 hours. It's probably more expensive now. Can anyone contact me privately and give me some specific suggestions as to private accommodations that are friendly and flexible and liberal? And also names of private drivers who would be able to drive me around and are helpful and trustworthy? I found it was the best to stay in central Havana where you could find girls easily and locally. If you stayed in the more upscale neighborhoods you had a lot of Transportation back and forth to go to where the girls were and then back home and then back to take them home and so forth. Anyway any suggestions that people have or if you can refer me to specific parts of this thread where things are discussed would be very very appreciated.

I just got back form a very good 10 day trip to Havana. I was there for 10 days / nights, but since I was there for work only got out and about for 8 of them.

I had 3 nights (two with the same girl) that were just stellar and will remember for years to come.

2 nights that were very good and left me with a big smile on my face.

2 experiences with sharkier girls that were OK (I got laid and busted a nut) but were and the end just kind of meh.

And one night where I went home alone unable to find a girl I liked or clicked with.

I had the pleasure of meeting up and hanging out with StudBucket and his buddies. A great bunch of guys who look out for each other and whom the girls just adore. I really feel like we became instant friends. I hope to have the privilege of hanging out with these fine gentleman again soon.

I hit St John 3 times, Don Cangrejo 2 times , Up and Down once, and Mango in Miramar once (on the same night).

St John was amazing on two night I went (a Thursday and a Tuesday) but just awful on the third night (a Friday). So I think this place can be hit or miss. I pulled two girls form this club, both of which were great but which demanded top $$ 100 cuc for TLN in one case and $100 for two hours (two shots) in the other. Both turned otu to be great experiences. Tuesday is supposed to be a good day to go and me and Studbucket and the boys had a very good Tuesday night there with each of us picking up very nice looking girls who all offered great GEE.

I went to Don Cangrejo two times and also tried to go on a Friday night as well but it was so paces they stopped letting people in after midnight. (WTF? There are some really good looking girls there for sure. But they can also give a sharky vibe too. Girls were quoting pretty high prices (100ST /150 LT) My first night there I passed on a very beautiful mulatta and instead ended up going back to La Rampa and finding a girl that could have been her younger sister (more on her later). My second night I could not find the kind of girl I wanted. To be more accurate I passed on a very nice looking Mulatta that Studbucket wisely swooped on and then ended up having had a great time with her. (Leaving me one jealous SOB LOL). I ended up going home alone that night -- which I didn't mind all that much having had enough action in the previous days. Even though I never actually pulled form Don C I do like the club and will be back again. For those that like white girls there were more of them there than at other venues (I am pretty sure I even saw Ramon's Snow Bunnies the first night there and they are even cuter in real life!)

Up and Down is a nice little club but the quality of the girls wasn't all that great (though one of Studbuckets buddies did manage to hook up with a very pretty girl there. Me Studbucket, and one of his buddies wern't so happy with the selection at Up and Down so we headed to Mango in Miramar. The place hasn't received much attention on the board but I think its a must visit for guys that like club action. It was absolutely packed with tons of chicas on a late Friday night. And girls were just throwing themselves at us. It was great! I met a very voluptuous young black girl that was celebrating her birthday with her friends. We seemed to hit it off, but she was initially non committal about coming home with me. I decided to pass and to find a sure thing. I probably should have stuck with her as we really did seem to click before and she kept calling me the next day. But by then I was already with another Chica and it was my last day in Havana. Instead I ended up taking home another pretty black girl who turned out to be a little too hardened and wasn't all that much fun back in the cases. Live and learn.

The highlight of the trip was the little mulatta I mentioned earlier, whom I picked up off La Rampa after my first trip to Don Cangrejo. (Let's call her L). Her and her group of friends were siting on the street outside the Havana Libre while some old guy was trying to chat them up. I locked eyes with L and she came over to talk to me right away. We started walking towards my Casa and we engaged in as much chit chat as I could muster. 18 years old (I checked her carnet she looked so damn young and a first year veterinary student (so she says). Tight young body, but with some curves and some firm young breasts on her. Very sweet and a great kisser. A total GFE. Also wild in bed and very deep BBBJ that had me feeling the back of her throat. An absolute gem! And all for only 40 CUC for ST. (when she told I didn't' even bother to negotiate).

I have to admit I was quite smitten by L and anxious to see her again. Only problem was she did not have a cell phone so getting in contact with her seemed impossible. When I called her number some dude kept answering (father? BF?) With my pathetic Spanish I had trouble even leaving a message for her to call me back. Most of the time I would try and ring the number and no one would answer.

Miraculously I was able to get a hold of her my last day and arrange to meet at 11 PM after dinner with my work colleagues. 11 PM rolled by and she did not show and no one was answering her phone. Around midnight I had completely given up and already in bed when I heard her sweet little voice calling from outside my bedroom window "Uncle V! Uncle V". This just melted my heart -- taking me back to the trysts of my youth in the pre cell phone days. I let her in and she seemed as happy to see me as I was to see her. Another passionate and tender session followed leaving me with a big smile on my face on my last night in Havana.

I also took a little time wandering through Old Town, Central and up and down the Prado. There were some girls there to be had but I'd say that the better concentration of hot girls is in Vedado around La Rampa.

To sum up it was a very good trip. Cuban girls are truly lovely and Havana is uniquely charming in its decaying dilapidated way. I was lucky to to make new friends with Studbucket and his buddies. What a great group of gents! I really look forward to partying with them again soon. And I met some sexy girls at the clubs too. It was fun to dance, flirt and grind with the girls in the clubs -- even with those girls that delivered sub par sessions in the room afterwards (maybe my standards are just too high?

However, it was L that really made the trip for me. And I feel I was pretty lucky to meet her as I spent a good deal of time trolling up and down La Rampa without finding a girl I liked or one that I felt comfortable approaching. The girls that approached me o gave the signal just didn't do it for me. There are hotties for sure. But as I said earlier, my Spanish is just way too rudimentary to try the cold approach with a regular girl on the street. If you have good Spanish though, like studbucket and his boys, I am sure that day game would be a goldmine here.

I need to man up and hit the books and work on my Spanish for next year so that I can find more girls like L and spend less time in the Discos swimming among the sharks in search of my sirena. LOL.

I will most definitely be back in Cuba again. But probably no earlier than next year for the same conference. There are plenty of other locations in LA to check out and my boy Studbucket gave me some great tips on places to go.

In the meantime I hope L follows through on her promise to get an FB account so that we can stay in touch. If not it will be no great tragedy. I will at least have some good memories of the two nights we spent together in Havana to keep me warm through the rest of the winter -- or at least until I get to Thailand towards the end of next month.

Yes I think you'd love Mango. It seems to go really late and was absolutely packed on the Friday we were there. It' much smaller than Don Cangrejo so it can be kind of difficult to move around. Overall I still think Don Cangrejo had better looking Chicas. But the girls in both places were young and in the under 30 range.

The hottest girls I saw were just girls on the street in Vedado waiting for the bus or walking around, and not obviously on the game. I will try to improve the Spanish and at least give those girls a shot next trip.

I'm going to Havana for the first time, in a few weeks. Which areas are easiest to find women. I can dance some salsa.
