It is hard to see anyone going / being allowed to go there for the foreseeable future.

LA has a 10 pm curfew and is now the world epicenter of the virus. Hospitals completely overwhelmed. It's getting scary. I have a regular girl who is afraid to visit now. I would prefer to be in Thailand but I'm concerned about how they will manage their second wave.

The weather here in Bangkok is pretty damn nice these days. Yes, it was sad to walk past all the closed bars and massage shops around lower Sukhumvit on my way back to my apartment after dinner around 7pm. Sad for the people who work in them and I know really need the money.
By far most of my mongering over the past couple of years has been from dating sites and casual introductions in malls, restaurants, public transportation, etc. And I am not really a drinker. So the negative impact for me that bars and such are closing is minimal.
And I am fine with takeaway food for me and my date for the evening.
On the other hand, since about 7pm tonight my dating site profiles have been on fire with "Likes", Matches and "Interested in you" hits and messages from a higher percentage of attractive looking girls in their 20's than I have ever gotten in a single night.
We'll see how this goes.
I'm still saying it's better for me here than anywhere in the USA.

While those have been free, it doesn't result in guaranteed sex on the first date.

I live in Northern California and I have no problem getting laid. It's just a question of how much money I am willing to shed and my stamina. I also believe it's the same in LA. Although many folks from LA prefer to head down to Tijuana, as it is much cheaper there. Mongers don't seem too concerned about the virus.

I'm more like 6/10. The video chats with the other 4/10 typically reveal some sort of issue and I don't want to move forward. But, the good ones have been exceptional and resulted in several consecutive overnight stays. They typically have daytime jobs, but are available evening and overnight. These are not hookers and some are looking to live in a western country with a farang husband. My buddy met a nice professional Thai girl this way and is now happily married to her in USA.
