Hi,

I will be in Seoul on Wednesday. I have to buy my wife some nice jewelry. I was thinking of something like Tiffany but it doesn't have to be a brand name if it looks good and is good quality. Can anyone recommend a good place to go. I only have a few hours.

Also, on another note, is it possible to get a girl delivered to my hotel. I am a westerner. I will be staying in Seocho-Gu at a place called Provista Hotel. It is a 3 star hotel.

All the windows have thick curtains covering them and most of the houses are closed. The ajumas are super pushy and try to drag you into the nearest place before the cops come by. I think a developer wants to turn the area into another block of shopping malls and apartment buildings. I doubt its any more foreigner friendly than yongsan. Probably less so.

But others don't care. And there's a big difference between 'drunk', which will keep you out of most places, and just tipsy or whatever.

Very good report, MrMorrison. This part made me laugh because it's true, they really do rush you, but I think maybe one of the reasons they do this is because there was the crackdown on prostitution a while back in Seoul and I think the cops were walking up and down the hill at one point, checking the bars. So, perhaps the women want to rush you for fear of the cops knocking on the doors?

I'm not really sure what happened, but early this morning 4 am+ I checked out the Hill area and it was really dead, the vast majority of the bars (80%?) were closed, and there was a cop car with it's lights on parked in the middle of the Hill. I have no idea what the problem was but something like that can't be good for business. I went to see the girl that works at Nymph bar, 28 years old and beautiful body, but Nymph Bar was closed. Bar Ing next to it was closed too. The "Open" signs were turned off and everything. very odd. (and disappointing!)

I thought about venturing up the Hill again after the cop car left, but I didn't want to re-enact "The Crying Game", so I decided to head back home.

That was lame. I may have to break down and check out Belle tomorrow; it's been a year since I've been there. Does it still open at Noon? Does Nara still work there?

My sense from talking to some of the girls is that business has been way off lately as a result of the cold weather and the season - a lot of the regular punters are off on home leave/holidays in December/January -- so the clubs open quite late, if they open at all (something they may not do early in the week)

Dunno about the squad car - it likely had more to do with the local knuckleheads at the newly refurbished and Koreanized King Club - but I'll ask my sources now that I'm back in Seoul. Spent a while with the Fillies in Cebu. :)

Unless things have changed, they won't let in foreigners most times. And if they do they are adamant that you pay for a table and a bottle. I've had this BS pulled on me even when I was the only waeg in a group of Koreans. It's the only club I've had to deal with this BS outside of Gangnam and Apgu.

This is just my opinion, but I'm thinking they're not necessarily making a foreigner pay up front solely because they're being prejudiced. It is possible that they might have had other foreigners visit. Then, when it came time to pay the bill, the foreigners might have complained because they didn't expect such a big bill and it was a headache sorting things out?... possibly

The other possibility is that some people (and it would be quite easy to do if you set your mind to it) skip out on their bill by sneaking out of the room separately. Anyone could potentially do that. But, in the case of foreigners, they really got nothing to lose because they don't need to go back. It might sound like prejudice, but so many people do crazy stuff when they're not in their home country.

Certainly not everyone's cup of tea, but went to a fabulous RS called "Soprano". It is located in the Ramada Hotel in Samseong-dong, Gangnam. I was invited as a guest by local businessmen... so the usual heavy drinking with FS afterwards. The quality of water was fabulous (ie lots of very pretty faces and few with great realistic silicone implants)! But, more importantly, great attitude with almost anything available in and out of the room - touching, kissing, teasing, tickling, etc.

We had a great time. I don't know the exact cost as I was the guest, but a discreet question later suggests about USD $600 per person. As far as I could tell, this is for one shot! Plus 3 hours of drinking.

Way too much for my taste, but worth it when someone else is paying...

Now off to HK/China for the same thing, but for 1/4 the cost!

As I said, outside of the Gangnam and Apgu clubs, I don't have to deal with such nonsense. Not even in Hongdae, where they routinely bar GIs (another example of prejudice).

No, wait, there was one other time in Jongro, too, but that was 10 years ago. I was the only waeg in a group of K-women (only guy, too, for that matter), and I was outright barred from entering. The dude was very matter of fact about it. The ladies could go in, but because I was a foreigner I couldn't. He actually expected that the ladies would leave me behind and go inside without me. Wrong. We left together and had a great time in the club right next door.

As mentioned before, Seoul has been pretty quiet due to the cold temperatures and snow on the streets lately.

I would like to know if any of you know any place in Seoul where I can find non-asiatic (white girls, european or american) providers? Yes I know I'm in asia and I should look for asian but unfortunately for me they are not my thing. Any massage? An-ma? Juicy bar? Window girl?

I just know the hostess bars I've mentioned before.

Not sure what type of provider you are looking for. Not a provider, but some general hint:
There are tons of expat white chicks, tons of frustrated female teachers and the female expats coming to this countries from several white countries. They are per average not the tall slim good looking tall russian female provider, bat more general females of all tastes. European or american average kind of.
They are free of charge (what ever free is when you invite for some drinks) and hang around the normal hang out places where foreigners go.
The reason I say this: Their pussies are rather dried up and in desparate search for some dick to fill! Theguys have it to easy in this countries with regular Korean females - so the white females have problems to get some satisfaction. The longer they are here, the more they reduce their expectation.

Not sure if you look for this, but for a fuck - you can find rather easy and budget saving.
But I am the one who likes Korean/ Asian more. I don't need the white folks from home!
