Like the big black girl I met in BC who went nasty on me when I didn't pay her enough (she initially said she didn't want money, because she was not a prostitute). I kind of knew that was coming, but it was a interesting experience. And I admit I like f*cking with people who think they can get one over on me. Though I am getting too old for that.

Still, mongers should be able to share their stories without worrying about pointless critiques from others. Bad experiences are what need to be shared. Not just for the humor aspect, but for us all to learn from. And I think you showed us how to handle these kind of situations. That's how you share with others, and that's how others can wise up.

Still the various forums are full of judgemental posters (not necessarily active mongers) who want to be the Monday morning quarterback, right down to telling what path they should have take to get to where they were going on foot. Someone on one of the Asian forums just dissed another's TR because he did not approve of the ethnicity of the girl that the monger chose.

I believe you are relatively new to this forum, but the poster you are talking to is one of the biggest violators of pointlessly criticizing certain individuals who shared their trip reports in the past (before you came). He's calmed down a lot, because a couple of us would get in his ass about some of the things he shared. And so today we tend to avoid interacting. But you are relatively new to this particular forum, and don't know the history.

So you don't know he used to criticize me personally, and certain content, in my trip reports when I 1st started sharing my encounters, good bad and indifferent. Mr Enternational shared his stories likewise. The man didn't like some of Mr E's perspective. He said the man was a "legion" in his own mind. He keeps saying that I'm paranoid. See it was ok as long as the critiquing was going one way. But he has a problem when the critiquing comes back to bite him in the ass. So what is more important here?

Everyone's right to share their trip reports without pointless criticism, or is it about simply supporting one individual you happen to like? If its the principle you believe in, then you should support everyone's right, not just selectively addressing Mr Old Kool. And just because you never witnessed or was here seeing him critiquing others TRs, doesn't make him a victim now.

Yellow plantains are called "platanos maduros". They don't seem to eat sweet yellow dessert bananas as much. Watermelons (sandia) and cantaloupes are popular and the other fruits mentioned here. They use the word melons for honeydew melons, not for the red ones, which are sandia. They also seem to eat green Kiwi fruit in fruit salads more than Americans do. In the DR fruit salads are commonly served as breakfast.

I plan to wife up on my next trip. Looking for a reasonable hotel in Caberetti. Low price is a big plus jacuzzi and poll are a plu.

You should be able to find a nice apartment with pool for $50 per night or less within walking distance of Janet's supermarket and all the beach restaurants.

Bart said the girls do not like bananas because their conception is that poor people eat bananas. Well everyone on this site rages on about how poor the girls are, so it would stand to reason that the girls eat bananas. Maybe they just do not want to eat them in front of Bart because they do not want to "seem" poor. Or either they are not as poor as everyone here lets on. Or it could possibly be that banana level poverty is below their own level of poverty.

I was refering to yellow sweet bananas, not plantains. To add more intrigue to the banana story, I recall a RD chica who said she did not like the yellow ones, but she would cook up a plantain for an evening snack several times a week, she weighed an even 100 lbs and ate more per day than than me at 185. Also recall chicas saying they didn't eat them because they were fattening. When I ask chicas what is their favorite fruit numerous say apples and grapes. Mangoes hanging from the trees along the sidewalk and they want me to buy them $5 lb grapes from Chile, and $3 lb apples from donaldlandia. One chica who would ask me 6 times a day for sex, I am way too old for that amount but cud 2 and even 3 sometimes. I would buy her grapes, she would sit at the kitchen table and peel them. She walked around nude most of the time, sitting across from her at the table drinking a beer and watching her peel grapes in the nude always made me think life is really good here.

The fact is that the exotic is always more appealing, reason why the grapes and apples (and unhappily McDs) are popular in the DR. Bananas are (were) exotic in Europe and so it appeals to an European. Many years back, I went to NZ for the first time; kiwis were then getting popular in the northern hemisphere and so I brought home a bagful. Now my brother has a kiwi Bush in his backyard and he has to push his harvest on unwilling souls. Indeed I used to bring mangoes and Lychees back home from my trips to Asia, because they were exotic in the land of peaches and apricots not to speak of apples and grapes.

Of course, if you have doubts that girls (and people at large) in the DR are poor, try Japan instead of Brazil. When I used to visit Nagoya 17 years back, my Japanese colleague had to work hard to find a good match for a Gaijin. Even though the AIDS scare had something to do with it. Try your tricks there today. Even Korea by now, I am sure is going Japan's way. I lived in the Dominican Republic for three years (not just a bunch of short 5 -14 day visits over many years). And not only did I like it, I would return under the right conditions.

So instead of trying to shout the longest and loudest about your favorite place to buy pussy. Maybe you should just let everyone form their own opinions and let them do what they like, while you continue to do what you like. And the experience argument? Bogus! I don't need to take a bullet to realize that doing so can be bad for my health. Seems to me we are dealing with personal preferences and tastes. One man's bitter is another man's sweet.

When was a young man leaning the ways of a gentleman, I asked a wine critic that I personally knew: "How do you know what is a good wine? He told me: "The first thing is: Do you like how it tastes?
