So he let them know about it and then he changed the delivery time for his breakfast from 7am to 7:30am. He said that improved things considerably. It is possibile too many of the other 25-30 guests under quarantine at the time were requesting the same 7am delivery time so the food was lined up on a countertop in front of an air conditioner for several minutes before delivery.

I have no idea how the food is supplied and prepared in those ASQ hotels. But Citrus on Soi 6 already had a fairly popular restaurant on the premises during normal times while another hotel on Soi 11 (The Eleven?) that got atrocious reviews on its food from another friend did not have a restaurant on the premises that I had ever heard anyone chose to eat in during normal times.

I never thought of that, but he's right in that everyone has their meals prepared at the same time. My ASQ also had the cold, runny eggs, which I never ate.

I've got a buddy coming out in a couple of weeks, and I think he's staying on Soi 11. I've already prepped him on my experiences, but switching up the mealtime is another one I'll pass on to him.

Price varies according to star rating, room type, comfort as well as the availability of a balcony.

I have many Hotelier acquaintances, and I have yet to hear a positive, profitable ASQ hotel so far.

That is, if it is still open during this time. I have not used a ST hotel in Patpong for a couple of years.

It is more expensive than the others but you can use it longer. About 600 baht for three hours vs 350 baht or so for 1 hour at other places nearby.

Personally, I would go there over all others because that is the only ST option hotel I have been to in Patpong that wasn't a dreary, depressing dump.

If the girl insists on going somewhere else it might be because she gets a 100 baht kickback from the place for bringing her customers there. After she bids you farewell outside she will double back to the hotel desk to collect it. Of course, she might have that arrangement with The Strand Inn Hotel too.

I received a message from a bargirl working at Nana, and she just mentioned that the bars there have been ordered to close for 2 weeks.

This move by the Thai Government doesn't surprise me at all as soon as I had heard about the recent (Covid) outbreak linked to entertainment venues in the Thonglor and Ekkamai areas.

I can understand both sides in this approach to fight Covid. One side wants to minimize as many Covid-related deaths as possible. The other side just wants to live their life as they choose and please, and also risk it as they see fit.

I just wonder how many more of these instances (outbreaks / lockdowns) will continue to occur throughout this year, and what kind of effect it will play on tourist confidence to visit Thailand.

Let's see what happens.

1. She gets into a taxi.

2. he takes her to a hotel, where she has to check in.

3. She's probably more familiar with the area than he is and will ask where the hotel is, so she'll know if he's taking her to a shady place.

I doubt most of these girls are afraid a guy will harm them. A foreigner harming a Thai national. If he ever gets caught, he'll probably spend most of his life in Thai prison and become a Thai bich.
