I am at the gym 4 times a week and while, yes, there are a LOT of girls in yoga pants and just a sports bra, I have never seen any of them approach a foreigner first, and being so overtly physically flirting. Why? Because other Thais would look down on them for doing so (in a world where "face" is everything).

Having said that, I do talk to a lot of these girls at the gym, but I am a regular there and they also are regulars, we just say Hello,/ goodbye or give each other a head-nod but it's just small talk. Even with that small talk, I get sideways looks from Thai guys.

I am not familiar with teenage vocabulary (I'm old). And as I was the first one to use the term "Bro code" in my post, I only meant that those who wanted to meet, met and exchanged first names, some shared full names, some more. But we are all adult men (real ones) and would never reveal anything personal about someone just because they don't agree with us in a forum full of keyboard warriors.

But once you trim the fat, there are genuinely great people here, that contribute and understand that they have to share in order to help the newbs the same way others helped them when they were researching.
