Ahoj!
I will be visiting CR in a few weeks and really looking forward to the pleasures described in this forum. Can anyone PM or reply and give me some info on Showpark? Prices, what to do, how to act? USA has nothing like this and I don't want to be a total newbie when I go. Are there places to leave personal belongings such as backpack or suitcase?
Dekuji!
Mike
Hi Mike, I have been to the Showpark a couple of times but not recently. There are currently 2 Showpark locations the main one which is near the metro station Vltavska and a smaller one near the metro station I. P. Pavlova. I've not visit the smaller one as I haven't read any good reviews for it. You will pay a fee to get in either location. The last time I went it was 200kc. That allows you access for 24 hours, you can come and go as many times as you please during that period as long as you retain the ticket. When you enter the main location after paying, on your right hand side is a bar where you can sit and relax. On the other side of the bar as well as on the lefthand side of the entrance there are a series of corridors the wind around but ultimately end up where they started. In these corridors there are a lot of smallish rooms with doors open they will have ladies waiting outside some of them. The ones with the closed doors are either empty or in use. The ladies will try to attract your attention. I suggest looking around before making your final decision. I think the girls all charge slightly differently from what I recall and so you will have to discuss that with them.
As for your question about the backpack or suitcase, If you are not staying in a hotel then there are a few places for you to store your luggage during your visit. As I mentioned before I haven't been to the Showpark in a while as I prefer Privats, so if anything has changed from what I have written please feel free to correct me.
And have a great time during your visit.
