How are the photos you took of the outside of the bars in Plaza Uris? Post them if you can (Sinatra, Zambra, Shots and another bar). Those bars had a lot of nicely dressed Dominicanas. Could be a good place to take a 20 year old chica on a date (young guys with game might be able to meet some chicas there, many of the people there are with their cliques, but I saw a few groups of chicas without guys). You parked in the parking lot of some restaurant on Ave. Roberto Pastoriza, half a block from plaza uris (nice jeep you were tooling around in).

Venus de Milo, not sure if they are still open (off of ave nunez caceres). According to Boricua Online's map there is another place off of churchill just north of ave 27 de febrero.

Yes I picked up a chica that was actually a pro but I did manage to get some numbers from chicas that were working in the stores so my spanish is improving. What really got my attention was this other guy I say around 55 and I would guess european was sitting in front of me and my pal having breakfast on the Mecure Balcony pulled this hot 19 to 20 yr old chica. This Chica was walking with her mother when this guy called out to her in spanish and montion her to come have a seat and she did and when mother came back out of store he montion her over also. I do not know how well this guy spanish was it was definitely some degrees way above mine, but he had this chica giggling and seemingly enjoying herself.

Now before she left they exchanged some info and I did over hear and understand him asking her about dinner later that night and both her and her mother smiled and she said ok. Me and my buddy just look at all of this and just said wow.

There is this bar / club just in front of the mecure I think it was 315 or something but on Saturday night I saw a lot of fine chicas coming out there and I went there the next day to check it out and I met this dominican guy who speaks great english (too good) who said he manage the place. He showed me the place the bar and than the getting high room and he showed me what he called the cabana place upstairs where you could bring your chicas there and you could order food to be brought up to you from the resturant downstairs very interesting.

This guy is a salesman and like I said his English is so good which prompt me to ask him were you in the USA. Well he says he has never been to the USA and that maybe true, but its not just his english its the words he uses and how he talks that only someone IMO that has lived in the USA would say.

[/QUOTE]Mercure is an european hotel brand so lots of europeans stay there. These people from Europe woke up early and you can see them walking up and down el Conde with the cutest chicas. European women are in the search of the same, in fact I had a nice experience with a woman from Spain on my last stay there.

Is 315 the club in front of the lobby main entrance? I went there once with a cousin and he met a chica, but they do not went up. A couple of hours later the chica was drinking Presidentes at Mercure bar in the lobby with an old guy from Spain. A couple of hours later the girl was drunk, the guy from Spain said goodbye to her (what?) and she went upstairs with my cousin.

There was a nice disco a couple of steps to the left of Mercure entrance, a two story historical building with a nice inside patio but the place closed a couple of years ago.

[/QUOTE]Yes it is front just to the left of the resturant balcony that is facing the el conde and I was with my chica on Sat night but I noticed all the chicas going in and out of there and the next day of course I had to investigate.

Although one clerk allowed you to take up different guests he was doing you a favor and not following company policy. Please be sure to post the reply you receive from Hotel Mercure.

BTW what did they charge you for the extra guest?

I know things are different from the USA but I was always under the impression that outside the inclusive resorts that 2 person means no more than two people in the room which is what we were told by someone at the Mecure and I wished I would have wrote his name down. I asked him if I had different chicas is there a charge if I take the 2 person rate which came up to 68 instead of the 58 if you took the single rate. Well he said as long as you do not take more than one chica at a time up to the room than no charge (no more than 1 guest in room at one time) , but if I wanted to take 2 chicas up with me than there would be a extra person charge because there would be 3 people in room. So I said fine and than told my buddies that and everyone was fine so no one expected any extra chica charges.

One person will say one thing and another person will tell you the complete opposite. The $17 chica fee started about three years ago.

The tipa looked to be the oldest of 4 chicas probably close to 40 but in my opinion better than just OK. I know most of the guys like quick action, I like the chase, wine, and dine. It didn't hurt having a male cousin native to SD and a cool dude.

I visited those bars on a Friday and Saturday and the crowd was mostly 18-25 years old, nicely dressed.

Maybe you hooked up with a MILF who was there with her daughters, LOL.

Years ago I visited LED (now called Gotik) in the Hotel Hispaniola, on a Thursday night and it was mostly an older crowd. 40 and over. For an older guy like me, I may have a better chance of meeting "non-pro" type women in a place with an older crowd.

One of those bars in plaza uris, did not sell presidente beer, they had Miller beer. Miller and Corona somehow are seen as more of a premium type beer in Dom Rep.
