Go down the block to Parque Lleras Bar and you will see similar quality for less, albeit there may be a few more hotter ones at Gustos. Not one of the girls in Gustos quoted us less than 150-200 us dollars and they never quote in pesos. I am fluent in Spanish and above average looking as well but they are all business there. To me, this is why Medellin is not the Holy Grail for mongering for freelancers at bars or discos. There are just not enough venues or one single great venue where prices are reasonable and quality is good. The Cocal bar in Jaco Beach, Habanos / Don Julios in Panama blow Gustos out of the water for quality, and selection. Girls can be had for 100-120 max in either of these venues while the better girls at Gustos want 150-200. I certainly did not see any 9s or 10s in Gustos so I don't see the justification for high prices. Many average girls in these places, while the hottest girls are online (FB, escort services, online etc.).

While there are guys who lie about what they pay, there are at least as high a % of girls who do the same.

I admit to not being a Gusto expert. I've only been twice in my life, and only once took a girl. But this principle is the case in virtually all freelancer type venues (not casas, termas, FKKs, etc where you pay a fixed price to "the house," not the girl).

I would regularly take putas from the same few bars for the most part and they all knew what I would pay, never as much as everyone else was paying.

Yes, it's crazy. This craziness was caused by the gringos, mainly Americans, there who accepted to pay 1,000-4000 % of normal prices. That's why locals always say that gringos fuck up everything.

Yes, Gustos is a classic clip joint. The key clip join attributes are there: the majority of its clientele has little to no knowledge of market rates, it is in a location frequented by tourists, its price points are unique to a small group of other local clip joints.

I generally tell girls what I'll pay and periodically I'll get the "ok. Don't tell anyone else. " FWIW I'm not a hard bargainer. I generally try to pay what's more or less that going rate. And if a girl says no, I move onto the next.

As I said, I'm not a Gusto's expert by any means. But logic would tell you this dynamic applies in any freelancer type venue. It's laughable to think that another girl can verify how much a guy gives a girl in these types of places. Guys can pay what they want and girls can accept what they want.

I did notice a lot more gringos in Medellin than I did in Bogotá. I myself prefer places with less tourist attention, Cúcuta was actually a nice place for mongering and with really good prices. And Santa Fe in Bogota and centro in Medellin but I have to check out Poblado.

I believe Knowledge articulated Gusto's as being a place guys patronize who know nothing about mongering in Colombia.

And he's correct, however Gustos has it's place in Medellin, no different than the Mansion, in the sense that both places are a perfect fit for some guys.

As an example, a guy is in town for a few days, is well off, and staying at the Charlee Hotel.

He doesn't have to go far to get a companion at Gusto's, yet doesn't realize the girls working outside of the entrance to Gusto's around the Park go for 1/2 or less.

I find it amusing when I read posts about guys that have gone with girls from there and think it's the best place since sliced bread.

If they only knew how hosed they were getting, but at the end of the day, if the guys had a good time, and it's work for them, that's what matters.

I have read several reviews, this is my last night at Medellin, I have been here for a couple of days but only with one friend. Where would you think would be the best option to take the hottest girl, Gustos, parque lleras or la Isla. From what I have read Gustos is not the best option in terms of price, but from what I have read at la Isla you may pay similar. This week I have walked and seen some girls in the Lleras park but may have had no luck and haven't found any nice looking girl there, where do you think I would have a better chance of getting the most beautiful girls looking closest to a 10 rated girl? Maybe a nonpro place but the truth is I am old so would be difficult to get a nice girl on o nonpro place.
