The chicas pay a lot to get in, they also know the story of who is there and why, and my bet is that in 30 seconds after getting in they decide what they are going to charge, and what their bottom line is. And on the street below it might be 200 k, and once they are up the elevator it might be 200 dollars. It's not a rip-off, it's not a scam, it's just the free market at it's best. Whether it's 30 k downtown, 200 k on the street in parque Lleras, or 150 k on facebook, it's all a free market. When buyer and seller agree no one is being ripped off or extorted. And often, not always, you get what you pay for. The fantasy of picking up a hot chica in a place like Gustos is far different than picking up the same chica even, in a cockroach infested short term hotel in centro. If centro works for you then don't bother going into Gusto's, and feel good that you're not paying those prices. But for many their experience at Gustos may be a highlight of their lives. Great. They may not have known the alternatives, but they had a great time and some chica is happy that her gamble to go there paid off. Lots of happiness generated. A good thing.

Can someone explain to me the accessibility of La Isla? Google map searches place it on a curved street north of Avenida Las Palmas, and you cannot see it from the street view. The question I have is: you need taxis to and from due to its location?

Maybe at la Isla are more girls, I have heard some times there are even some models there. I think taking a girl outside of la isla is expensive like 600 K + 180 K to take it out.

If you have no trouble getting the kinds of girls you want at home, you should have no trouble getting the kind of girls you want in Medellin.

I know a girl for a few years, I try to see her when in town, and she is available. She has a regular office job, so sometimes hard to get hold of her. We don't talk prices anymore, she comes, we eat, drink, music, dance, she might have party favors. She might stay anywhere from 2 to 5 hours, I pay her anywhere from 200 mil to 300 mil and usually give 20 mil for taxi. She never asked for a specific amount, and never counted it before me. I am pretty close to her, so she even let me see her phone. She is on some WhatsApp groups where they discuss money. There was one group where the name was 300 mil una hora mas taxi. They exchange info about bad dudes who stiff them or hurt them, and even post pictures of do not see guys. Girls post messages asking for date referrals if in cash crunch. Also, some girls hook up guys with other girls, I think they charge 50 mil for referrals. Not sure if the guy pays or the girl pays. There is some organization of the girls, but I am not sure how effective and efficient it is. According to my girl, she is not hooking anymore, but sees me because we are friends. Once, she said the girls decided to change 300 mil per hour, and said would I pay that amount. I laughed and said, no I wouldn't pay that amount, and if they are able to get that from someone, more power to them. I told her, I doubt they would get that price, as it was in the middle of the pandemic in December 2020. I messaged another girl one time on short notice and asked her to come. I think she is more of a pro. She said, she came from Parque Lleras. She stayed for 2 or 3 hours, I think she made me nut 2 times. I think I gave her 250 mil. She didn't complain or say anything. I think she charges 200 USD in Parque Lleras or Gustos, but was saying that business was down. Again, this was December 2020. She can suck the life out of you, and has a stacked body. She said she had worked in some English speaking Caribbean countries and was able to speak some English.

So there are a whole range of price points and situations in various locations and platforms. You need to figure out what works for you.

In my long-ago hitch-hiking youth I encountered some truly classic clip joints, especially in North Africa--places where a bar girl, if invited to your table, would order a champagne cocktail (in Arabic), and, if you didn't ask the price up front, on getting your bill would be presented with a humongous charge ($50, even $ 75 in 1965 dollars) with a comparably priced menu to defend the charge.

Actually, in my experience, once you're inside Gustos no one presses you to buy drinks--having paid the entry fee you can hang out chatting up and dancing with chicks as long as you like without spending a cent.

There were more girls than guys. Asked average looking girl who was sitting next to me if she could go for an hour. She said she would for $150 and $250 for whole night.

Didn't even bother to continue conversation. Even SW in that area, asking price is min 250 pesos.

In my experience the best places are casas. If you make couple trips casas, definitively you would find better looking girls as I did.

Fantasasia Energy is a tourist trap. Went there 3 times knowing that it was bad but hoping to see better service and good attitude / looking girl. Three times got disappointed.

1/2 HR 130 and everything is extra.

Got lucky with Facebook and Tinder girls. However, don't expect same looks that you see in heavily photoshopped pictures. Expect at least 40 less what you see in pics.

Main problem is scheduling time with them. They commit time but don't show up and change in last minute. Another issue is they don't respond to your messages right away and have to wait hours for their reply.

So best bet is to contact and schedule time with at least 3 and pick one who shows up and cancel others as they do.

It is actually an overpriced tourist joint. In the middle of tons of places that average Colombians go to, but there are none in there that are not hookers and no local males. Something is definitely amiss. Same as some venues in Santo Domingo and Rio. Look around and if there are no locals inside then you may not be getting clipped per se, but you definitely are not getting standard prices.

I stand corrected. Gustos is a fair deal I suppose.

I think that some guys are overthinking the P4P.

Numero 1 - learn some freaking phrases, aka communications skills, to get you by. If you are in Medellin, Rio, Pattaya, CR, DR, who cares? It is all the same. The more you can communicate and read the chica, the easier it is on you and her. The GFE probability will increase with your communications skills.

Numero 2 - RTM. Forums, websites, ask other mongers, ask the chicas. There are thousands of ways to get information. Some guys do not listen, read or follow advice. They will always overpay and will never reach that true GFE. There is nothing that you or I can do about them. The chicas recognized them and played them. It is pure capitalism.

* Follow the first two, and you will get your monger star.

* Follow the rest to achieve monger stardom.

Numero 3 - Read Chris Voss "Never split the difference." Youtube and join the Black Swan channel. Learn, memorize and practice how to negotiate. To achieve GFE, is not what you paid but how happy YOU and the chica are with the price. It does not matter what I paid, or the next guy paid for it. Too high for you, and it sours it, too low for her, and you will not get the full GFE. Continuously pursue the sweet spot where you are happy, and she is too.

Numero 4: Be a romantic, a poet. It does not cost anything, but the payoff is enormous. For example, cojer or chingar are good ways to ask girls to bed. For me, while I'm asking them for their number, I test the number by sending a "Te Deseo" to her number. It provides all the information she needs to let her know that you are taking her to bed. In Colombia, use the term "Mi Reina", My Queen, to talk to a chica. It just goes along a long way.

Numero 5: Be a gentleman. Whether she likes it rough or not. Always be a gentle-man. By doing number 3 above, you will learn to get what you want while making her feel like it is her decision.

Guys, YMMV, but put the odds in your favor. It is not that complicated. It would be best if you were using those same skills in your everyday life.
