I think management has changed since then; owner/supervisor is now Hee-ju, formerly of Nymph. Kelly didn't stay long, before going on permanent vacation. Umm. Wow. Yeah, sure it's easy... when you're willing to overpay by 25%. You seriously paid 270k for a typical anma experience????? You didn't even try to haggle? Christ, man. You come in here and criticize the regular members of this board for complaining when you're in town for a day and try to brag about the standard service you got at an anma, but you overpaid by at least 60k.

The reason people have problems in Seoul these days is due to the shrinking numbers of places accepting foreigners. I was disappointed to find that some of my favorite haunts had taken up No Foreigner policies. Add to that the general price inflation coupled with foreigner fees, and you have a community of hobbyists who are a little disabused of the Korean sex industry. So, save your little critiques for another place, especially when you make noob mistakes like taking the first price they offer you.

Well, in his defense, that's not a lot compared to what some other guys have paid on here. Didn't some guy brag about paying 800k to get anal on the Hill? I mean, WTF is up with that? It's almost like guys get off on overpaying or something like that.

I think I've seen this massage place Dragoncatman mentioned in his post, it has a pink carnation on the top of the building, and it says massage in English and Japanese? There's another such area of those bars at Ahyeon station, on the Green line just before Ehwa station. Walking towards Ehwa from Ahyeon, the bars will be on your left and go for quite a walk, plus a few on a couple side streets as well. You did nothing for which you need apologize.

As an apparent newbie to Korea, you clearly indicated that you were probably lucky in getting accepted into an anma that is not on the short list of foreigner-friendly ones; anybody who took real umbrage at your apparent tongue-in-cheek remark about complainers needs to see one of the local plastic surgeons about having their epidermis thickened.

And, as Seoulstice observed in another comment, it's really pointless for other people to rant about overpaying. You're the only judge of that, really; if you left satisfied, you didn't overpay; you got the benefit of the bargain you made. Which is not to say that you might not have been able to make a better one if you had been able to convincingly project to the troll at the bridge that you were familiar with the local scene, preferably in Korean, which would make it more convincing. On the other hand, especially being ill-equipped, intel-wise and linguistically, to cleanly negotiate the price down, you likely would have got turned away. Similarly, when talking price directly with an SP, we all have to make choices about how much we want the unavoidable commercial aspect of the deal to color the real point of the encounter.
