Visited Elite late in the night. Very walkable from Hyatt palace and right across Hooters. Cover is 30 dollars for open bar and gets you local drinks. Not bad. This was my 1st time in Panama City. Without this planner, not sure if I would have hit up a lot of these spots. We all know about Habanos, Elite, Ashe, Boca, Mejor, and Red Lion. But I wanted non-pro's, local people and that's who I got. Time went by so fast, I could have used another 2 or 3 days out there.

Planning to return in January for a week or 10 days, work during the day (remotely) and enjoy the evenings out.

Also, I ate all three Lebanese restaurants (Beirut, Habibi's, Al Basha) that were near Hyatt. Beirut was great on Saturday evening. Belly dancers come out (older women had great moves). I wish I could back sooner than January but have commitments until November. By that time, Panama hits the national holidays in November so everything is closed and people go to countryside for getaway. Also learned that December is the worst time to come due to traffic in the city. Not sure what tour guide meant by that, NYC, Chicago, and LA has bad traffic too. It seemed there were more cars than roads in the PC and traffic jam started 8 am-10 am & 4 pm-6 pm but supposedly these hours get extended during month of December when everyone is out and about all the time. I know some of you may have been there in December so would like feedback on this. If this is true.
