I've always been a cheeky bastard and go to the Indonesian lines if the bule lines are too full even though I have a temporary resident visa much to the disdain of other bules. Always get hassled by a Indo official before I make it to the counter but he always lets me pass after he checks my visa.

Just a comment on the walk of shame that comes up from time to time.

The Intercontinental Hotel is located near the Meriden. It is not visible from the main road, and some of the older taxi drivers still think it is named Kampinsky. The hotel is 5-star just like the other big names in town, but it does not have a night club (it does have a quite nice massage spa, and those girls are willing to add the happy ending). The downside is that you have no choice but to go out, even if you'd rather just slide downstairs (like Meridien or Shangri-La.

The plus side is that it shuts down after 1-2am. The lights are off, the lobby is completely vacant, and even the night clerk is busy in the back room (busy sleeping, probably). Zero walk of shame. If she is leaving the next morning (hopefully she has a change of clothes) , no need to escort her down, as the doormen do not tend to hassle the girls. Most of them are young girls anyway.

It doesn't seem to be terribly secure like that, but the elevator will not run without a valid room key inserted.

Visit Hotel Travel in the mid afternoon, pop, eat dinner and then head to Berlain for cheap soapy massage, pop, then about 11 pm hit the Blok M bars.

500k-600k IDR to a Blok M girl for all night.

Stay at Mercure Rekso Hayum Waruk in the Mangga Besar area. No problem to bring a girl back. It is a good place to stay, close to the MP scene.
There is a nice restaurant at the Jayakarta Hotel down the street, check it out for duck, century eggs, etc.
Any incidentals can be purchased at Glodok/Lindeteves Trade Center or the Lokasari Plaza nearby. It's convenient.

It will be missed.

I first went to TC's around '95 and stopped going there around 2 years ago as there were too many girls there my daughters age and also too dark and bloody noisy. End of an era but something else always pops up elsewhere.

The Maribaya in Hotel Melawai 6th floor is open every day from 10 am Until about 1 in the morning. Shift change occurs at 5 pm Price is 450, 000 for 1 hour, all included. (+maybe 50, 000 tip). They are usually not very strict on the 1 hour time limit.

I was there last week, and the cewek told me they are soon to be closing down for renovations for a long time. Maybe call 1st to check if they are still open. Tel 021 739 7233.
