I've found daily reports of new cases and deaths for all of Thailand, but nothing more localized than that.

My daily contacts with non-P4P people in Phuket are avoiding the whole Bangla road area because of perceived COVID concentration. Perception is one thing, but reality might be something different.

IMHO, Thailand has few stunners, not even in malls or on BTS. But, there are many attractive girls all over Thailand. In pre-COVID evenings, a typical group of 10-15 girls at the Nana hotel car park sign may have 1 that is appealing to me (ladyboy alert goes here). The better agogo places might have 20% that are appealing to me. That 20% could have been higher if not for fake boobs and massive tattoos.

The beer bars very seldom have even one girl that is appealing to me.

I don't consider Thai girls stunners. Agree there are good looking girls but a true stunner is rare. I see many pretty girls coming off the Asok BTS in to T21. Sit in the Utrecht train station near the university for an hour, walk down St. Catherine Street in Montreal in the Summer. Then you'll see stunners. For Asians I prefer Japanese, Koreans, and Indonesian girls more than Thai girls. However, even in Tokyo and Seoul you won't see many stunners on the streets other than those who are trying to recruit guys in to bars in Shinjuku, Dotonbori, Gangnam.

And if the store owner has any problem with that then he definitely has a problem with markets and competition. The only time I've ever seen Thai guys get violent with foreign customers is if said foreigner refuses to pay his bill or is getting rough with the gals. And that is usually after repeated warnings. Thais do their best to diffuse altercations.

Well it seems a lot of the ugly girls on soi 7 do seem to have some pricing power with the punters that are hanging out there. I guess for some guys the experience of going out and drinking and pulling a girl from a bar even if she's unattractive is far more fulfilling than doing research perusing online and going to a hotel to meet a girl. Back when I first moved here and for many years after I would certainly have fit in that camp, but then of course there was no online scene and in my opinion the gals in the bars were far more accommodating, drinks for less than two US dollars, and st would cost you about 25 bucks. And importantly, I didn't speak the language then. I can definitely see how the online game is much less fun and much more difficult if you don't speak Thai. And it's also quite time-consuming and really not suited to short-term tourists. As a resident I have all the time in the world to do my research. And if I don't pull the trigger today, or tomorrow, or even this week, it's no big deal. But for many guys who are here for a short time everyday counts and they want to be partying and having a good time.

Pre-Covid, I would give a thumbs up to any Go Go that had a minimum of 2 or 3 attractive, doable girls inside. There were so many Go Go's that did not have even one attractive girl.

I usually did not see even 1 attractive girl hanging around the Nana Hotel parking lot and I always took a look see. I gave up on beer bars ages ago.

Pre covid it was like shooting fish in a barrel, now really have to work for it and each quality addition number added to line is hard won.

To flip this around, attractive girls will do anything to keep a decent paying customer right now. Even girls with well above average looks will be much more accommodating in regards to what kinky shit you want to do. Once you have seen any girl more than a few times they are pretty much up for anything. Pre covid girl: "I am sorry I don't do that". Now: "you can do anything you want, and I do mean anything".

I've never done fiwfans, but it seems to me that it is a completely different experience than being with a bar girl. With finfan it seems to be nothing more than sex with whatever you consider to be a hot girl, you make your choice with no idea of her personality. With a bar girl, personality is a big part of it. If you are retired then you have all the time in the world. If you work here though, the hour a day trolling through all the sites will probably cost more than the actual hourly rate of the girl.

But last Saturday night would not have been the best night of the past few weeks to go window shopping in the area.

For one, there has seemed to be fewer girls in the bars on Saturday nights vs Friday nights in general for the past few months, with numbers peaking from 7:30 pm to 9 pm.

And for another, Sunday was Father's Day in Thailand and Monday was a public holiday. A lot of the more financially solvent girls either returned to their outer provinces this past weekend or stayed there to be with their family and didn't travel to Bangkok to work in a bar.

IMO making it your mission to challenge random bar girls on their pricing (with supporting documentation 555) is kind of creepy, bad karma, and not the way I would choose to spend my holiday.

And sometimes the ladies intentionally price their time high in order to discourage punters they have already met face to face, and really don't want to go with anyway.
