I am in Dxb and using Ultrasurf as I write now - just type into google. Free. An alternative is proxify which is a subscription service.

Ultra failed for a while while I was resident but has worked for the last two weeks without any problems. Proxify is totally reliable but will not allow webcams (a major disadvantage).

Dropped the hire car off yesterday and had a couple of hours to spare in the afternoon before my friend picked me up to go back to Ajman.

Dropped into Jockeys. Now while it may well be renamed Javi's in the evening at 3pm it was heaving with WGs and a handful of Western guys. I guess it has picked up the slot formally held by TGITs but has not yet plumbed the Star Wars bar depths that establisbment has sunk to.

In the interest of research for the forum I made some enquires although I had no intention to monger given I had no place near and no time.

Gilrs were mainly PRC, a handful of CIS and no Africans. A couple of gems to be found as well. One CIS with an Audrey Hepburn hairstyle looked good and was obviously quite young and a newbie, poor English and relied on average (5) friend to help with conversation, opened and stayed at 300. A long haired PRC caught my eye (unusual for me) very attracive. Opened at 500ST but dropped to 300 very quickley, almost zero English though.

So it looks like in the afternoon Jockeys (Panorama Hotel Bur Dubai) is the place to try it on.

I stand by my earlier comment that Dxb has lost its glow. At one time I would have travelled to Dxb just for the mongering - now I would not.

I have never compared Dxb to LOS or PI. There is still fun to be had and maybe my post was too negative, in any event I often have cause to be in Dxb and will continue to fact find and report as I, with the emphasis on 'I', see the place!

I use OpenVPN available to download from here [url]http://openvpn.net/index.php[/url]

It cost me about $35 for the download about a year and a half ago but is worth every cent. I can freely use Skype and the fact I am posting this now (today the ISG WAS blocked by Du) shows it works.

Plus an added bonus is that it gives you a US IP address, so I could, for example, watch the US Masters golf on the internet before the TV coverage started here, even though the web stream is "available in the US only".

Be careful out there.

Hello all, I’ve been a lurker on the Dubai thread for a while now, ever since I moved here; but haven’t contributed, since I haven’t really mongered here all that much, have to keep a low pro in my own back yard and had some LT stuff in the past as well.

Recently I had two itches that I needed scratched: one was for a CIS with all this stuff I read about them, and the other for an African; ‘cause African American just ain’t the same thing. In any case, not being in the mood to lurk the clubs and walk a gauntlet I turned to expatriates, the rates of which I had been scoffing at all along. Came across an ad for service that seemed decent, Russian for 600/hr. I should preface this with the fact that I am a-ways away from the action, and driving in any state back and forth ain’t my cup’o tea; unless it was the morning after, and then it better be way into the early afternoon. So Home delivery was a luxury worth at least some cost initially, without a rapport with the girl.

In anycase, the girl came over, was very decent, I’d say 7; we chatted for a good long while (I had the two hour package at 800), she got really very comfortable, at first hesitant about the champagne that I had offered her but as time went by things got better. Eventually came down to service (I had given her the 800 beforehand, against my better judgment); she had seen all of my house, and I think she had made up her mind about getting f***ed in the living room; she had previously turned the lights low, thrown the cushions around, etc. She said, she was open to everything, what do I want. And it goes to show attitude can change a girl from a 7 to 10+. I would like to think she would have stayed the night as she said she wanted to, but got a call; she had been in the country 2 months, and said not always busy. I did see her leave in a taxi, which she caught on the street, so I assume she came in one as well and didn’t have an escort; she stayed longer than the two hours and all in all I think a decent 800 spent, considering I have read a few recent reports of CIS leaving in the middle of the night and not honoring the long term contract and costing more.

I don’t know what Dubai was like before and don’t know what Dubai is becoming; but I do think it is probably not the best mongering places in the world though has its charms and at a price; depends on what you like and who you are; but I do think offers probably the most international buffet at a fairly reasonable price; I’m not a fan of Dubai prices; at 800 AED in Thailand you can have quite a party, two two-girl sessions at Eden. In actual PRC you could do an awful lot, but also blow it on just one pretty KTV girl, or two. Though, I am one of the lucky few who can and does have his PRC itch scratched in PRC and would never go P4P PRC in Dubai. You could easily find a 7-10 gem in Shenzhen for what is basically 80AED ST, with your same proportion of hit/miss gfe I have a stunner 9-10 regular there who has a regular job in the daytime and I pay her 200-250AED for a night, and freebies are a plenty as well. Though take time in some cases. (now don’t all of you do the math and jump on the next plane out, there are some brothers on those threads who would have my head! ).

800 got my itch scratched and scratched well, maybe even bold enough to try the cheaper day-time mongering mentioned at broadway or ascot? Or check out some of the other local scene. I still have one for an big buxom African and a big chested arabesque lady wouldn’t be bad as well. As I said, I haven’t actually run the gauntlet here in any club, so don’t really know whats out there, just as I have never seen the fabled 250 girl lineups in Changping KTVs. All in good time, I guess.

Just curious MK, zing, a recent post mentioned about a particular club (Jockeys? ) being full of Indians and myself never having been to a bar in Bangalore, was just curious how this changed the playing fields? Does it drive up the price, scare away the A-listers, create a stench? I mean whats so bad that you wouldn’t share an elevator with these guys? I would imagine it would make whitey stand out more! Get more action.

As I am flying into Dubai, the only CIS resources I have been been able to find have been ones that are fairly expensive. 2500 AED. Where else would I find those who advertise. And what should I expect to pay for a decent looking one ie 7-9

I am assuming you are not in Dubai and have not yet been to Dubai. And the “resources” you refer to are online "escort agencies"?

My advice would be to forget that approach and when you get here hit a bar – As you are interested in CIS I suggest the Rockefellers in the Regal Palace Hotel some time after 10:30 PM where you should be able to select a girl to you taste for considerably less than 2500AED. From recent reports it would seem a CIS for 1000 AED should be obtainable.

[/QUOTE]Due to the racist structure of the DXB labour market one could assume that Indians will [i]on average[/i] have lower saleries than Westerners working in similar positions. Also they will fill many jobs where the salery would be insufficient to attract a Westerner. So from a WG's point of view Westerner = more disposable income. You will stand out not because of the colour of your face but because of the perceived size of your wallet.

Had a couple of pints in Double Deckers (Al Murooj Rotana hotel, just off Sheikh Zayed Road, for the uninitiated) tonight after work. Surprised to see four WGs in, working in pairs at different sides of the bar. Two PRC, two Stanis, definitely not A-list, slightly too old and a bit chubby, but reasonable looking. Got quite a few looks and smiles from them and it was difficult to avoid eye contact. Couldn't enquire as to price etc as I was with colleagues. Interesting development, as I've never really noticed any WGs there before.

Dubai Dubai land of 31 one flavors. I was in the mood for something Caucasian. I hit the York around 9PM. Got my normal spot by the door just scoured the perimeter. It's been awhile! Ever since my wife has moved here, and her lack of friends and general anxiety about the move, I've been on SERIOUS lockdown.
