If AIR BnB is illegal than thousands of people are breaking the law. A quick glance at their website would prove that.

Somchai the delivery Boy seldom sees its customers. For me to tip him (at my condo) I have to give the tip to the security guard who then passes it on to Somchai. "Contactless" they say.

Many people stay at AirBNB. Doesn't mean it's legal in Thailand. Thailand made AirBNB illegal about 4 years ago to protect the hotel industry. No different to Thailand making Uber illegal to protect taxis and some other ride share companies more close to the vest.

As the bars in Bangkok are closed, I read with interest the reports regarding the Sideline thing. Insiders point out that speaking Thai is highly recommended. I would like to know what difficulties would face a guy who has already been to the country several times, but who does not speak Thai. Is it the appointment setting? Finding the way to the room? Communication with the hostess?
In short, is it challenging or discouraging?
Any answer will be appreciated.

Even if you know what you are doing (eg. Make sure to carry a stick to beat off the street dogs) the quality is depressing. But drugs and life are cheap.
I'm sure there is a scene in PP, but that's all there is. Cute girls everywhere though, but not for tourists.

I have been there too and have to concur. Everyone who can travel should visit Siem Reap at least once to view this marvel (Angkor what) of the ancient world. The town itself is pleasant enough for a few days but I found the nightlife marginal and the mongering woeful.
Phnom Penh is a bit better but it's overall a sleazy and poor city, lots of petty crime, poor public transportation, and not a lot to do after a few days.
Don't worry about your Thai language skills. Very few tourists or even local ex pats speak the language well. English is the 'lengua Franca' there.

Go-go bars are closed but Nana Plaza and now Soi Cowboy and even a few places on Patpong 1 and 2 are operating as outdoor beer bars. There are probably more beer bars open in the lower Sukhumvit area now than were open during pre-Covid times because several new beer bars opened since then on Soi 7, Soi 8 and Soi 11.
Most nights now the places are packed with customers, girls, live entertainment, it's party time.
Some nights the customers outnumber the girls. Some nights it's the other way around. But any night it is quite easy to find a 20-something year old, fit, doable, "horrendous" 100% real female in or around the bars who will very likely agree to whatever it is you want sexually for 1,000 - 1,500 baht for Short Time (usually 1-2 hours) or 2,000 - 2,500 baht Long Time (often from 9-10 pm until the next morning), with or without maybe a 500 baht barfine depending on when and where you meet her.
Most everything starts in the late afternoon and goes until 9 pm, 10 pm, 11 pm or later.

If you specifically like bigger girls, there are usually some, you can just ask mammassan in english if you don't see any that fit your bill. If no girls are to your liking, have absolutely no issue with just walking out, you do not have to choose a girl just by walking in, its always your choice.
