If you are from India:
ICICI Lombard insurance has covid written on first page. It is cheapest insurance. It gives 5 pages in PDF but you can take screenshot of first page only and attach the first page only in thailand pass process. There is a provision to attach 3 pdf files on last stage of application. You can attach your insurance pdf file there. Simple as that. Also, flights of Thai airways will fly from 2 Jan onwards, so book them. Thank me later.
Those Karaoke bars are a wonder. They cater to Japanese yet if you watch for half an hour you will rarely see any going in. Then if they do go in they come out real fast.
The girls only stay inside the karaoke bars if the guys pay for their time. Otherwise they come back out. There are more girls inside.

There is no need to post the same thing in both the Bangkok and Pattaya threads. Pretty sure all guys read both threads in these hard times.

I spent some time in Nana Plaza last night. The ground floor had some bars open, and plenty of ladies and customers. Everyone sat outside the bars.

I haven't figured out LINE yet, but I've had pretty good luck with the usual websites. These girls seem generally less jaded than the ones in bars and oilees and such. It seems like the more they ask, the worse they perform. At least, that's been my experience. The ones that ask for 1. 5 k or 2 k have been great.
One really hot girl seemed to get me confused with some other guy. She made a few references to a conversation I never had and then asked "so are we still planning to meet on Tuesday? I first typed in "What?" then paused. Backspace, backspace, backspace. "Yes, we are".
She then dropped heavy hints that she needs and expects support. This is the freelance type that doesn't want to admit they are freelance.
Most, though, just come right out and say that they are freelance. For me, it's like 90%. Maybe it's because my profile says I'm not looking for serious and that I'm visiting and because I'm only looking at young hot ones. Much younger than me.
Meanwhile, a much older friend of mine, hitting on much older women ( 40) has a non-stop string of freebies outside his door. I suspect he's saying that he's looking to retire in Thailand and is looking for a wife. I draw the line a bit differently.
Thanks for sharing your experience in PP, but what you described was well known for a very long time.
Before my first trip in Cambodia I read many reports about robberies in massage parlors, that's exactly the reason I never tried any massage parlor over there except one legit foot massage in Siem Reap.
And for theft being 10 times more prevalent than in Thailand, I really doubt it, unless you've got some personal experiences to share of course.
Well, I didn't know about the massage sting setup, nor had I read about it, despite many visits there, so I was new to me when it happened.
And as to theft and scam ratios being 10 times higher than Thailand, well I am sticking to that.
There is nothing like the massage scam in Thailand, not to mention the negative impact of the Vietnamese influences in Phnom Penh and especially Siem Reap.
Yes, if you stick to the bright lights of 104-136 Streets near the river you're fine.
But venture to far off and its not good at all.
I have a handful of bad experiences stories in Cambodia over 10 or so visits, yet only 2 such experiences living in Thailand for years.
Cambodia is still pretty much the "wild west", highly enjoyable for its opportunities, but dangerous if you don't have your wits about you.

Crazy house
I have heard CH is a strange place but I am really tempted by hearing that girls are basically walking around inside totally neckid. Anyone knows if it is open and what goes on inside?
-
Crazy House
Yes indeed many girls walk around naked inside. Don't know if it is open now though.
Yes indeed many girls walk around naked inside. Don't know if it is open now though.
I walk past Crazy House, which is on the corner of soi 23 and soi cowboy, everyday. I believe it has been shut for the last year.
Kazy Kosy which is next door to it, has always had some type of activity happening. The girls try and talk to you as you walk past. Been like this for a year or so. Never stopped and asked what service they provide as didn't see anything of interest.

Just arrived to BKK. Have today before friends arrive and can't really monger more. Any fishbowls or place with large selection at this time?

Take Care streets
Which areas off the main RLD are you referring to?
In PP, 13th street and west of there at night.
The massage places that are a risk are all the same look.
They have an open area at the front, with the eye candy sitting out front.
Generally if you look carefully, you will see they have some temporary partitions or walls at the back of the front open area.
These hide the window at the front of the room from being seen.
And inside they have a curtain across that front wall where they put a coat stand.
With the girl once in the room encouraging you to hang your clothes there off the floor.
After I was stung by it I did a walk around the next night and easily found a half dozen such setups.

I will travel to Bangkok, after looong time, at end of January. I was there last time in 2019, in the summer.
I usually stay in Nana, Asok area. I see that Wood bar (BJ bar) still open, 7 Heaven, Kasalong, Cherry massage same.
I was a fan of Eden Cluj, Mitu, but not getting any information, if still open.
I understand that Snow white is close, someone know where is Candy now?
I want ask what for a massage saloon suggestion, or blowjob bar, because I think many things change in almost 2 years.
You forgot Khaosan road, it is bustling right now with an alley dedicated and named as Walking street there with no cams allowed in the alley.
The question should be Khaosan or Sukhumvit.
The winner is sukhumvit but someone should make a ground visit to Khaosan as all of this is based on youtube reports...
I was on Khaosan Road last night from about 7:30 pm until 9 pm. There were the usual tourist families, farang backpackers, couples and Thai locals that usually hit the area during normal times with a greater percentage being Thai locals these days.
Most restaurants and bars are open, some with live entertainment, loud music everywhere. Plenty of places to buy t-shirts, souvenirs, silver. More sedate and less noisy dining and drinking is found on the loop around area of Rambuttri Road and over at the Rambuttri Village section.
I saw no evidence of P4P freelancers or bargirls, Thai or otherwise.
In other words, Khaosan Road is lively if you are interested in shopping, dining, drinking, music (loud), a foot massage and possibly dancing. A pleasant family-friendly tourist destination but with an emphasis on drinking as the night progresses, same as during normal times.
However, there are two clubs or bars open inside the little Susie Walking Street pathway. For anyone not familiar with that pathway, it is about a 70 metre walkway that provides a shortcut between Khaosan Road and Rambuttri Road. Narrower than an alley, just wide enough for 3 people to walk side by side.
One bar is called Elephant (in Thai lettering only) and as near as I could tell the other bar is called Hubpital or maybe Keep Walking (in English lettering).
Both of these bars were very Thai-centric. Through the doors I did not see one farang in them. I am not a booze drinking and loud music guy anyway so I did not go inside but I could see from the customers entering they were all Thais and mostly couples or groups. Again, I got zero freelancer vibe from anything or anyone walking to and from those two bars on Susie Walking Street.
Maybe things get wilder and the Thai girls I saw will get shitfaced drunk and start moving away from their Thai boyfriends, schoolmates and co-workers to start groping at 2-3 of the older farang dudes like me nearby. I wasn't there late enough to find out. But I highly doubt it based on what I saw up until 9 pm or so.
