[/QUOTE]I will immodestly suggest that you do a search on my posts between 2006-08 in the Jakarta thread, as I wrote several extensive posts on virtually every interesting place in Jakarta (except Hotel Alexis, which I've never visited) from the high-end girls at Malioboro & Sumo Shiatsu to the lowest-end girls inside the Kali Jodo brothels and the 50, 000 rupiah street girls near one of the train stations. I also posted "summary reports" every 6 months or so. Other than the price info, and the names of some of the young providers who have since moved on to somewhere else, most of what I wrote still applies.

Seems alot on the Jakarta hotel thread deals with Blok M area and maybe the Hotel Blue Pacific would fit the bill at about $35 if I wanted to stay near Blok M. But trying to stay closer to Mercure hotel areas instead.

Could always go to Jalan Jaksa but heard this was not recommended area for our hobby even as the rooms maybe cheap.

When I was on my way back home passing Arteri Pondok indah, I saw a new spa next to shell gas station. It's called The Magnolia Shiatsu & Sauna. I decided to drop by after looking at their giant ads for 50% off for all treatment. The first floor is the lounge. The interior is quite nice with comfy sofa, the good news they sell cheap beer for Rp. 18. 000 (U$1. 90). They sell food and snack like apple pie, brownies, danish, caldavos tart, cheesecake. I tasted caldavos tart and pies they are really tasty. I'd say the taste is close to the food sold by Starbuck's with only half the price of that Starbuck's.

Well let's move on to the fun part. Looking at their brochure, they provide all treatment from deep tissue massage, swedish massage, hot stone massage, herbal steam massage, body scrub to reflexology.

The price is starting from 58. 000 rupiahs ($5. 80) and the body massage is starting at 98. 000 rupiahs ($9. 80) for 90 minutes.

They open from 10. Am till 12 midnight.

I haven't had a chance to try the treatment but I would give a try sometimes this week.

Truth is if I had any status with any programs and score a cheap room (maybe even a free one) I would'nt have even mention the possibility of staying at places in Jalan Jaksa area-ha ha,

Trying to be a cheapy with the hotels so have the extra money for fun instead, but also don't want to be staying all the way outside of everything. Ah, trying to find the right balances in life.

FZ[/QUOTE]Jl. Jaksa itself (not the mainstreets to and fro) is the cheapest. You might even bump into some chicks there. The best option however is I think hotel Olimpic and hotel Lokasari. Though TC has closed, there are still places within a five minutes walk or less from those hotels. Sierra, Madona, Bintang Mawar, Miles, Oasis spa, if they are still there, are next-door. You might even try your luck, hunting in the mall or on the premises of the Lokasari block.

The SOP must have been explained a dozen times here but here goes: Walk into the lobby and head towards the lift which are behind the reception desk. There's a curved corridor leading you there and you need to head right ahead without standing there and let any staff make "best offers". Take the lift to the Spa on the 7th floor; you will be given a numbered wrist band with an RF I'd which lets you open / close the locker with the same number as your wrist band.

Next you head to a hall packed with mongers and groups of girls herded about by Mamasans. Every stag entry / group is approached by a mamasan who lists the choices. Indonesians, Indonesian Models, Thai, Thai Models, Chinese, Korean and Uzbek / Russians. Price (excluding room,"spa charges", tip etc) ranges from 0. 8M to 1. 9M. I was about to choose this tall Thai model (beautiful eyes, high cheek bones, dangerous curves) when I noticed this cutie-pie girl (early 20s) in the Indonesian lineup this Aussie was reviewing. Waited out with bated breath as I firmly believe in "Bros before H0es" rule. Luckily that guy picked up this buff eight foot tall buxom Indonesian lady and left me free to select my girl. Mamasan tells me her name is Ratna and asked me to wait at the pool after changing.

Adjacent to this hall there's a mirrored locker room with a whole platoon of uniformed staff who will assist you in any way. You have to find your locker, put your clothes and belongings (except maybe cellphones and wallets) in the locker and change into the bathrobes provided. We left a couple of bags with reception, and they asked us something like 100K rupiah for the privilege when we came down. Our bill was several million rupiah for the two of us, so not gouging a bit extra for the bags would have been classy. Also the guys hanging around the entrance are pretty aggressive about getting a tip as you leave. And I don't appreciate getting a form with a field for a tip amount, to be filled out on the spot. What and whether I tip is up to me, especially after I just paid around 1M. As it happens, I have had better sessions with girls in Stadium and Travel, among other places, so I didn't feel eager to give a tip. In fact, my girl was hung-over and coughing, and chatting to her I learned that she spent the previous night at Stadium in the disco. I took the form and said I'd think about it and give it to the mamasan afterwards. The mamasan never dropped by, though we spent another two hours in the lounge area.

[/QUOTE]I checked out Maribaya today. Still open and not closing until May or June according to the girls I spoke to. One of them will keep me updated by SMS if there is any change to that. New girl there today name of Dila. 19 years old, slim, nice body but a bit 'inexperienced' so as is my usual practice in this situation I take a double and make sure the other is an experienced girl who can give the 'newbie' some tutoring.
