I have a one night experience to work from here, but maybe it's useful. While I do have a contact there now, she's not in the age range, being a little bit older.

The Beach Club yes/no kind of depends on what you're looking for. firstly prostitution is illegal in malaysia - but still very much available with minimal hassle. i've been in a "health centre" during a raid and the police were looking for:
1. illegal foreign "workers"
2. drug usage
3. ****d workers.
there was sufficient warning so we weren't caught with our pants down. imho only foreigners who are fls/sws without valid travel documents will be detained. the police would be highly unlikely to detain tourists for not carrying passports unless they have other reasons like suspected drug usage.
