You didn't post a date that you visited the bar on Soi 4 and I know from your other posts that you're in another province now. So why in the fuck did you post this misleading information now?
Many bars are still slow while others are so crowded it's difficult to find a table. As always at any given time of any day there are multiple hot ladies or nothing but less than desirable ones. The bars on Soi 4 have always been filled with mostly older ladies.

If she likes you she may make an effort on the price, if she doesn't want to go back 1 hour+ away back into her apartment. She may give you a great price so she can sleep in a clean, air-conditionned room.
She may also give you a high price if she does not want to go with you.

Maybe the girl gets to keep 1,500 - 2,000 when all is said and done. So there can definitely be some flexibility there.
However, for anyone shocked about a 3,500 baht ST quote, I will go on record now to say I have seen girls in the Nana Plaza bar area who in real life right in front of your eyes in the flesh could compete quite well in terms of looks with the doctored photos I've seen of some 4+ or 5 rated girls on Smoochi or other escort services. The ones that start at 3,750 baht for ST without knowing for sure what you're getting looks wise until the hotel door opens and quite probably no chance of anything close to, say, BBFS+CIP even if it provided by surprise in the room for extra baht.
IMO, whether 3,500 baht for ST is shocking or not depends on who the girl is and what she agrees to do for it.
I would also say some of us should not dismiss out of hand the potential value of a mamasan. A good one, that is. Yes, if the primary goal of the customer is to get the lowest price possible and he is perfectly happy with whatever standard fare covered this and that, No to this and No that, pleasant or unpleasant surprise in the room he gets from a "go with the flow" mode or whatever she claims to have understood the negotiation was about in the bar beforehand, then for sure avoid or reject any mamasan intervention.
However, if there is something special the customer wants, something not generally or never on the standard fare menu and that a customer might feel uncomfortable negotiating with a bargirl before taking her or in the room, a good mamasan can smooth the runway by offering you a selection of girls she has already discretely vetted on those things with you from across the room.
For example, some mamasans know I want BBFS+CIP if I'm going to pay a barfine and take one of their girls. For others it might be Anal, a threesome where the girls really are into each other as well as you, rimming, whatever. So in my example the mamasan is likely to go to a new girl I have never seen, met or taken before, point me out to her and ask her if she is up to the idea, while also assuring her that I am not a nut, will not scam her out of a fairly negotiated fee to her and that other girls have been more than delighted to repeat with me any time I want.
If the girl says No, the mamasan will smile and move on to another girl. Don't forget you have to buy them drinks at 200 baht a piece. Gogo bar pricing and it's not even a gogo bar! It's like paying 3500 baht for a FL.
But even more criminal is that French Fries are 150 baht! Guess it costs a lot for Grab to deliver fries to Nana.
My advice is just talk to the girls and get their Line. They will go with you for 1500-2000 when they're not at the "bar". There are no more contracts where girls have to work 7 or 10 day shifts so you can likely arrange something the following day.

It is my personal experience (but I'm not a bar expert, massage is my poison) that involving mamasans is not a guarantee that the encounter will yield more / better fruit. I find dealing with the girl and paying the girl the extra 500 instead of the mamasan may lead to a better experience.
I am very vanilla compared to you guys, I like my sex straight and protected, so maybe there is less chances for misunderstandings once under the sheets.

She shared what the buzz was about with me and my GF. It seems that customer was roaming around in and out of the bars and kept coming back to this bar to, guess what, hit on the girls to get their Line info in order to meet them afterwards and skip out on the barfine. Imagine that?

Really, I'd never observed this kind of concern over that move, or any concern about it before other than some places that frown on the sight of a customer and girl tapping info into their phones together.
