hey guys,

i'm new to the korea scene but thought i'd post.

i went for a walk in the itaewon area this sunday mid afternoon. it was my first walk through and i was just looking to see what the lay of the land was like. although it appeared pretty quiet i started getting doors swinging open in the bars there with one or more girls trying to get me inside. eventually i got lured into one and sat down with a pretty sexy looking korean woman, probably early 30's(?) who had a pretty nice body and was friendly to put it mildly. after going for one 20k drink for her i managed to unleash another 40k for what turned out to be the best hj i've ever had. coming from other parts of the world this was kind of high but strangely worth the experience if not better.

i did some further walking around and checked out another bar. the moma-san there offered me one middle aged woman and even though i insisted that i was just walking around went on to cell phone in another girl. she said this one was 23, though i have my doubts that she was much more than 18. a beautiful girl i must say. i don't speak korean but i had this feeling that the younger woman didn't either? i passed due to being a little suspicious and short on won.

just curious, if someone wouldn't mind cluing me in on a few things.

i would have thought the majority of girls in the clubs would be a) korean and b) older? is an **** market there something to be on the look out for or is this stuff just overlooked by everyone? (i'm trying to avoid problems)

i heard that there's a district called something like "shinwu" with street hookers and maybe some gambling clubs? does anyone know about this or know where it is? worth bothering with? are there street hookers here?

i wouldn't mind trying something more "economical" but i may have been near the bottom of prices already. i'd like to check out a massage/hj place if anyone can recommend a spot/directions?

sorry to ask too many questions too soon. i certainly don't mean to bring up anything too controversial either. seoul may not have everything some other countries do but being new it has a certain intrigue to it.

With all the banter about Apple lately, it seems appropriate to mention that there is a relative newcomer there named Sumi. Actually, she may be better described as "re-comer", as I believe I've seen her around before in the not too distant past - but I can't be sure; too much shagging may be resulting in premature dementia.

Well, sorry you couldn't own that --- you obviously knew to go to Itaewon, knew you were there and knew you were on "the Hill", regardless whether or not you knew that was its name (the latter of which would be very hard to believe). How hard is it to get your head from up over your pieces, brother, and note the name of the bar and ask the name of the girl? Even a newbie knows not to look at his feet but the jungle around him when he's on recon; otherwise he's just someone no one else wants to know because he won't be around long.

I'm a frequent traveler who's heading for Osan AFB and was wondering how far this place is from seoul. I've been reading alot of the posts of seoul and it sounds like lots of fun can be had over there. I wanted to know if there are the special services available at or near Osan AFB. Oh and I won't have a vehicle so I'll have to do with cabs. So traveling is a bit limited. If anyone can help out it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks![/QUOTE]About a 30 to 45 minute drive depending on traffic but you can also take the subway. There are many (juicy) bars available with mostly Filipina girls and a festive atmosphere. Like Seoul, you can also find the typical Korean Anmas, numerous barber shops and a RLD near-by, all offering 'special service.'

-Sigh- Tonight after an non-characteristic about of drinkiing, I wandered up the hill for a very late Friday night recon.

Well, I see the MO at this joint hasn't changed in ten years. The short answer is NO; don't bother, move on. Caveat: Something almost as bad happened to me about ten years ago there, although I managed to get my bacon into the grease finally by paying full retail at the time. And I also managed to get the girl's number and thereafter saw her at her apartment from time to time at a significant discount that made the initial premium worth it in the long run. Your call whether your girl is worth that effort; but given that the window of opportunity has closed, I think you have to say goodbye to your down-payment and start over

Didn't grab the digits since I know these girls only have Sundays off, and often won't meet daytime before their shift (unless its for a free dinner before her shift). Curious what you paid for full retail price (even 10 yrs ago). Did you tap her in the venue? She claimed that we would have to leave, and implied that she would meet me outside. It must be Spring! Or it's just sufficiently warm that the SPs are back on the stroll along the Namsan ring road between the Banporo turn-off and the Hyatt turn-off. I was up to my usual shenanigans in the 'ville tonight, twice, punctuated by a great meal and a couple of pints of Granat at Praha - which by the way is one of the few of the newer, better restaurants on Itaewon high street where the kitchen actually stays open past 10. if recollection serves, the full boat at the time was 100k. went to her place for the deed. i noticed recently that the same girl is back in the trade working out of number one at the top of the hill.

in my experience, it's ok to be stubborn - but not about getting recompensed, just getting on. if you must go back, just make it clear that you know what happened, and know that she knows what happened and it ain't going to happen again - and see if she wants to play according to the new rules. unless it's crystal clear she does, move along. no point in making a fuss. you can't win - even if you get a make-up session (unlikely) it will be a poor put-on performance - and you will just lose face; and you'll get a rep all over the hill as a pain in the ass - there really is an incredible grapevine among the sps about the punters - they even give us nicknames; i've got two of which i'm aware.
