Phnom Penh

First time here, colleague booked nice hotel coincidentally near St 51 so after dinner took a tuk tuk with him for visit. He is BKK local and second ever visit him. OMG, what a dive. Can't believe anyone would visit this street. We walked up / down, dropped in at few places for a 'look'. Too early for Heart of Darkness (9 pm opening) but the 'best' place appeared to be Shanghai. Girls had number badges. Had a beer at two bars, polity declined the back massage from a 3/10 at best.

Tonight, might check out NayNay bar and LeCyree. So far not impressed. The BKK BG girls look like models compared to what I have seen so far, can't wait to return this weekend to LOS. POV

POV[/QUOTE]Hey Traveler, don't give up on Phnom Penh. The place kind of grows on you if you give it a chance. You should try some of the 104 St bars like Zanzibar, Colonial, and Rose Bar. Khmer girls are really delightful.

But you are talking to the choir here. BKK girls are my all time favorites.

POV[/QUOTE]Traveller 1 Street 51 is where most of the hardened used up girls go. 2 Don't judge things on first impressions. 3 You can't find a shag in BKK for 300 Baht with a nice looking girl. 4 Bangkok has as many people as all of Cambodia.

I've lived in both places and Thailand has knock out girls no doubt, but so does Cambodia and if you want to pay a 1000 baht bar fine and 2000 baht LT for one of those girls fine, but the service I find in Thailand, sorry the girls have lost that loving feeling and won't even give FS for that money.

That's 3000 Baht over $100 USD mate and that kind of money with get you a 9/10, hell I can get virgins for that, try and find a virgin in Thailand I never found one in 3 years I lived there that would give it up.

You want to spend the money you'd spend in Nana, Soi Cowboy or in Pats go to Naga World or The Royal, if you want P4P at a good price you need to shop around Pontoon or Street 104 you can fined the odd 7-9/10 in the crowed and it will cost you 1500 Baht LT tops don't pay more. The girl might walk away, but she'll be back.

Like wise if you could speak Khmer you entre a whole new world, and your Khmer GF doesn't tell you you have to pay 10, 000 baht a month to take care of her family if you want her to be your GF. I have 4 GFs here that cost me the same as I had to pay for one hot Thai GF.

Happy mongering mate, sorry I love Thailand too, but you pay for it and the service seems to get worse every year, just my opinion.

I think that ThePrinz is being a bit tough on the Khmers, many of their circumstances are desperate. Inflation is rampant in Cambodia and money does not go far for the poor. Lately I have met many girls without babies, which is good. If one does have a baby in the Bush then milk powder costs about $11 a can and they need two a month. School costs a minimum 500 baht a day for year one and goes upsharply after that.

If a girl doesn't have a moto then transportation adds up, a lot of girls don't live locally. Using a moto to and from work can easily add up to more than sixty dollars a month- theres the wage gone. Health care is not cheap in the Bush and khmers are often sick, especially with stomach problems. A visit to a quack in the Bush costs ten to twenty dollars, having a baby at the rural clinic can be up to a hundred dollars.

And the girls have to look goid to attract customers so clothes, hair and nails all cost money.

But the biggest obligation is the family and that will nevef change in a poor society.

Hi, I know there are many reports about buses from PP to Sinhanoukville, but does any reader know if I can hire taxi / van from airport to Sihanoukville. Have a flight arriving there and rather than go into town and arrange a bus just want to get on the road and get there. Any help appreciated as always.

Yeah, Shanghai has probably the best girls in 51, as long as they're ok to go out with customers as that's not always the case.

Str 104 comes next, as for the real stunners there are not many as you've noticed, mainly Nagaworld and a few expensive KTVs for Khmers and Koreans where western tourists and expats aren't welcome unless they're introduced by a local.

Enjoy PP for what it is, this aint BKK or Phuket or Hongkong but the prices are still relatively cheap in comparison and the vibe is more down to heart.

You'll see better girls in Vietnam but it can cost you an arm and a leg over there, the Viet in PP are hit or miss and a lot rougher than in Saigon but there are some farm fresh Viets in Sihanoukville.

In Managua, Nicaragua for example you'll pay $7 for short time on premises in a massive bar / brothel that you can find on your first 10 minutes in town.

Similar rates can be found in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti, Bangladesh and other countries with just a bit of searching.

Of course the open places on known tourist routes are going to be a lot more!

Hey guys, settle down. I'm been doing this longer than most of you. No I am no longer young and hansum. And I'm not looking for 8/10 or more. But I don't want to screw just anything and what I saw on st 51 was downright nasty, except for shanghai.

I took a stroll through 104 late this afternoon, around 5 pm. Happened to be in the area after a biz meeting. Even dropped in to the 24/7 nay nay bar and had a quick beer. No disrespect to those who have patronized this place but got to be honest. Didn't see anything to take upstairs, even for B$300. POV.

So that's my second impression. I will try Cyrcee if time permits tonight. BTW, driving south along river, saw what appeared to be a MP with large parking lot. Called Lucky Eight? .
