Go figure?
...Maybe I sounds stupid to BF a girl and doing nothing with her, but I repeat, I had a great night with her...
I met a nice woman (34yo) at a Patong, Phuket beer bar a few days ago (at 5pm). I was having fun with a group of about six bar girls, taking pictures and buying a few drinks, when I noticed the prettiest one hanging back. She looked to be very sad, actually a combination of forlornness and fear. I asked her why and she said that it was only her 3rd day working in a bar and she didn't like it. She had never worked in a bar before and had turned down all offers to "go hotel." I wasn't planning on a big evening, so we talked for awhile. The rest of the girls pegged me as jai dee and suggested to both of us that we "go." I paid her bar fine and told her I'd be back after a shower to take her to dinner. I had no intentions or expectations except to make her smile a bit. She was very shy, but told me at dinner that she felt better to be with me and out of the bar.
After dinner I asked what she wanted to do. "Up to you," was the reply. I was tired so we went back to my hotel room to watch TV. I told her she was welcome to stay, (i.e., sleep there), if she liked. Again, no intentions, as I was tired and falling asleep.
After her shower, when the lights went out, off came the white towel and she snuggled up next to me with her pert shapely body. I was very surprised and decided to take one step at a time with her and see what might happen...cha, cha. She barely knew how to kiss in the beginning. Learning was the first step and she was a willing student. By the morning, after many hours of foreplay in between sleep, I had one of the sweetest love-making sessions of my young half century life. I rewarded her generously and suggested if she did not like the bar that she get the first bus back to Khon Kaen. I told her I'd come see her ("keep in touch").
I think the mamasans must plant these newbies in the bars to snare hopeless romantics like myself. Right now, the shy girl with the sad eyes is probably looking for another like me.
I tried Hell Club in Pattaya, so Eden is on my list as well, unless anyone can suggest another place to get a pair of eager beavers.
A note on an Airport Tax Scami: I got in one yestarday and once we were rolling I noticed the meter was obscured by a map. I reached forward and pulled the map off and saw it already had 70 baht on it (we'd gone 100m, so obviously this guy is padding the fares). I quickly negotiated a normal price and we were off, with the guy looking a bit guilty, but I wonder how many newbies off a long flight would check the meter when they get into the cab.
You discover a big scam. It worths the incredible amount of 70 baht (1. 80 euro)!
I would call immediately the Police.
Come on! It's normal in countries like Thailand that low-salary workers try to make a living on small rip-off.
From what you wrote you didn't get angry and that's very good.
It's like a game: they try to put some baht over the meter: sometimes they succed, sometimes they don't.
Nothing to worry about.

Italy 1974
very good. Make this normal and the next step is not far. If you feel like it, tip him 10000 Baht, but a scam is a scam.

Which girl was it then? My guess is the one in the black shiny dress. But none of them appear shy, forlorn or fearful, rather well hardened bar girls! But whatever you got your money's worth.
PS There is a separate Phuket thread

I don't think so.
I just wrote that you are talking about 1. 80 euro.
All this discussion reminds me the unforgettable threads about the baht-bus drivers in Pattaya trying to rip off our poor farangs of the incredible amount of 5 baht per trip.
Dirty bastards!

It is all clear now!
Andy, swap the words 'insight' and 'stupid' round and you start to get the picture. Lived in Thailand for fuck-knows how many years but barely knows the way to the end of his own soi :D. But he has learned plenty of cliche buzz-phrases.
Btw his army is the gung ho one with all the hi-tech that has a long history of blowing up it's allies' troops ('friendly fire' is, I believe, the correct buzz-phrase).
Thanks Terry for putting me in the picture about our rather sarcastic hero. I owe you a drink.
So Retired Army you are a Retired American "Real Army"! Now is the quote "real army" meant to belittle the British Army. Especially The Parachute Regiment. If so be careful. The Parachute Regiment is the youngest of British regiments, but it's a regiment that has earned admiration in all fields of conflict. I will not make comments about the American army in general, but I do remember jumping with the American Airborne once, a tactical jump. We jumped at 550 feet no reserve. The Americans chose 1000 feet and 2 parachutes. This was in the early eighties.

What a sly Fairy!
OMG, the posts in this thread are too much! See 5184 & 5185.
No offences intended, just LOLs.
"Now i want to show my love for you by making Quebec pizza.
Poptart with ketchup" {Jacques Le Coq Grande, in The Love Guru}.
PP, Mao muk mak.
It is quite clear you don't like me. Maybe we should meet? Then you can tell me to my face! You quote my posts. What about your dribble. We are all talking about sex. And you are talking about fucking kids and making pizza. Hurry up and die!

No Offence meant to the Original Poster (Fon Tok) but I wouldn't call any of the bunch "pretty".

Hi,
Big thanks for you, Giotto and other forum members for sorting things out, good advices and hints!
Repsu,
As she told Mrs. Giotto she then offered to only sleep there, that at least you don't have to stay alone in your room. And - after you offered money there must have been a small discussion - she did not want to take it, you insisted to a certain extend ... and finally some amount was put to her hand bag [I would like to know whether you can confirm that].
Giotto
Yes, I can confirm that she refused to take the money. I’m really sorry that I didn’t make this clear enough in my original report. Especially because it made girl’s behaviour look worst that it really was. The money (no bf nor the amount I gave to the girl) was not problem for me. When she was leaving (and yes, I asked her to leave) I didn’t understand what was wrong and the girl had spent some time in my room already, so it was too late for her to have another customer. So I felt I should give her something for her time. Regarding just sleeping/waking up together in order to have someone with me at the morning, I have to admit that I’m not so good sport as some of my monger colleagues: waking up with her would be just a reminder of the failure, no matter how pretty face that reminder has!
Please send my greetings to the lady: no hard feelings in this side either.
Repsu,
Now that you know how to find me get over here, that we can drink a coffee together and make plans how to KICK ARSE OF THIS BESTARD 1Ball !
Giotto
I dunno. In many ways 1Ball’s suggestion makes sense to me! : D: D
Repsu: Sometimes this happens to the best of us (well to a certain extent). I for one would not of given her anything, if she did nothing other then shower at your place. I would just move on. Why don't you try and meet up with someone on here who can show you the ropes. If your there next week, I'll be happy to show you the rounds. Or try a massage parlor. I am not an expert, but I've had my fun there.
M&M
Thank you M&M, however I already will be away next week. Which is a great shame, because I really would appreciate a few words of wisdom from more experienced monger colleague in real world situation!
I have been following this thread from the beginning and hoped you would find a way to resolve his problem. I am a confirmed fan of LL (and you) and I have never ever been to Thailand. I still hope to visit this summer or fall and feel I will be welcomed at your fine hotel.
Slim
I agree: LL is a great place and I hope to visit there again in my next Thailand/BKK trip.
The reason why I posted my report to general BKK section instead of LL’s own was because I was somewhat quite sure this whole issue was not LL specific. Posting it here offered a possibility for me (and other beginners – I hope) to receive analyzes/opinions/hints also from those members who are not active LL section.
Once more time thank you for everyone involved this discussion! For us mongers it is fascinating word out there – let’s enjoy it before it is too late.

The amount wasn't the issue. The fact he was pulling a scam was. In the end he suggested a set price which I agreed to, but he took me to the wrong part of town (he misread the directions in Thai I gave him), and kept complaining he was going to lose money since it was further than he expected. I did give him a little more than we agreed to since he was pretty funny about losing money.
I agree not to get upset, but letting these guys know what we are aware of things is the best thing to do. If they want more money, then they can negtiate it. Scamming is just wrong.

Excusez moi...
No Offence meant to the Original Poster (Fon Tok) but I wouldn't call any of the bunch "pretty".
Ahh...Monsieur Nic:
Thank you for pointing out the obvious once again. The sentence reads, "I was having fun with a group of about six bar girls...when I noticed the prettiest one hanging back." A simple sentence of comparison that might have possibly been more "monger-correct" without pictures. Sure, they are just ordinary looking bar girls trying to make a buck in a slow high season, but these women were a lot of fun for a few hours of idle play at a dive Patong bar.
For some people, beauty can be more than skin deep. No offense to your eye for "beauty," but when you are older, wiser, and not so law mak, you will have a different perspective on these things (maybe).

I fully agree with your assessment: I am LAW MAK :D
ok, all joking aside! I agree that beauty is in the eye of the dear Punter but some have a taste for very superior looking faces. I like a nice face but prefer to look at tits and Ass also :)
And please, continue your random Ladies in the street Pictures... I miss them greatly

Nic finds his incredible beauties at Annies! LOL :D
He has been very rather grumpy for a while now. ;)
Not like the happy go lucky Nic from 2 years ago.
But even I moderate my requirements for stunners on occasions. Stunning body and stunning performance can sway me if face is at least "lovely" or "cute".

Dammit! you had to spill the beans! now every ISGer is going to show up at Annies and take away all my stunners :(
