They have a small history of being closed down for brief periods and with the tickets I got stuck with when the old Juarez book closed for good, I took no chances.
Here's another story about bad service at Luxxor. A long time customer went there Wednesday. There were several girls available, but the lady in charge (not Soraya this time) made him sit and wait 15 minutes before he could make his selection. Service in the room was terrible. He wanted to complain and had to wait another 15 minutes to talk to her again, and she didn't care. After all that he was blocked in and had to wait again to get a vehicle moved so he could leave. That's someone who has been going there for years and always tips the girls well. He asked me to post this as a warning to his fellow mongers. You all know this already.
Pink Lady really pissed me off last week. I don't go there much but I found a girl there I like. That waitress Yoli bitches about no business but then does everything she can to make sure you can't enjoy yourself. Changing prices, hovering over you, and being obnoxious about asking for tips. I wonder why they're getting no business.

Don Felix is a hit and miss bar, but, I have normally had good luck there, but sometimes one has to be patient, waiting for some gals to stroll in. Don't overlook the nearby Bombin Bar as well, as it can sometimes be good. Sometimes when the gals do not have luck in one of these two bars, they will walk over to the other one. Weekends definitely best.
I would never waste my time in the Pink Ladies. My understanding is that when everything is added up, if one does find a gal there, the cost will easily total to around $100 or more.
The Tangas bar, on Mina Street, does anyone know how many blocks it is from the Refugio Casa de Huespeds, where gals will also hang out on occasion?

Yoli at pink lady is a con artist. She will bug you until she gets a tip. Never smiles always looking like somebody in the family died. She needs to be fired.
From that place to do any kind of business. Really. Looks like juarez is coming back. 6 months ago there was no business, streets were empty. Now.
You can see people are getting out and business is about 50 percent of normal. Slowly coming back, but positely.
What's up with the Juarez Police or is it just my bad luck? I have been going to Juarez for about 6 years. I dress to blend in with the locals and look hispanic. In the past year, I have been stopped three or four times by the Juarez Police. Usually they just check my I'd / passport and let me go. Last week (10:30 AM; 9/19/12) I was stopped, showed my I'd and passport. The officer asked if I changed my name. The photos in both I'd's are update and provide clear identification. I was hauled off to the Juarez Police Station. After being checked in, I spent 4 hours sitting on the floor "sholder-to-sholder" with other detainees. I was finally called and asked some general questions (address, reason for being in Juarez, etc.) and was released about 3:00 PM. I took a bus to the Santa Fe bridge and was stopped again by the Juarez Police. I showed my I'd and this time they let me go.
For about 6 years, I have walked to and from the massage parlors (8:00 AM 1:00 PM) and have have minimal problems. Is there something going on with the Juarez Police.

Very strange, Frazier 15, what happened to you. I was stopped three times last January, showed my I'd, and was let go. Normally, they let you go if you have I'd and are polite with these "cops."
So unless you somehow did not act in a "polite" way with these "individuals," your story is unusual. Goes to show you that in Juarez, you never know. This is one reason why I seldom go to Juarez on a day when I have to work the next day (police holdups).
