Thanks.
No problems to speak of just a few people over excited about the election, but all is good. Good news He Hun Sen doesn't have a majority government anymore, bad news probably nothing will change in the country unless there is some give and take on both sides.
The weather is good not too hot today, the women are hot though and the beer is cold.
Cheers
Cambodian opposition rejects Hun Sen election win. Looks like the election was rigged. Therefor the unfolding situation bears watching for those of us who are interested and care about Phnom Penh and Cambodia.

I read the 3 day adventures of Mr. Zack. Poor fellow seems to walk into all the wrong bars on Streets 104 110 and 136. Well, now we know where not to go.
Hoping for a little more detail on the one that went right: "went out of there to Best 136 Bar (I think that's the name). After just a couple of seconds I met a great looking girl and also very friendly and happy."
Yes, Best Bar 136 is a great place. Do you know the young lady's name, that took care of you that night? Or more detailed description?
Thanks Mate!
He'll, nothing new here. That is how it has been for the past elections as well. When I was in Cambodia for the last election, I went out with a friend on one of the CPP's campaign stop. At the village, they gave every lady there a new sarong and each family 10,000 riel per family member in an envelope. Unfortunately, this s just h politics are one in Cambodia.

Hello all, I'm headed to PP, SR, and Snooky for just over two weeks. Will arrive early Friday and thinking of checking walkabout for first day. Def thinking of Pontoon and enjoying the hints on how to best negotiate with the local talent. GM and the rest of the team, it would be fun to meet up for a drink if you have time. Granted my trip is mostly about the sites I plan to spend at least half the time applying the lessons here.
If I'm dead wrong in starting at walkabout and could go for a better place that's better and cheaper in the same area that would be even better. Will have to review the latest pages here once more to make a decent gameplan.
Know I'm a rookie per se but have taken a few journeys to Mexico, PI, VT, China, and Korea with good memories. Hope to hear from some folks soon and first drink on me.

Thanks Mate!
Sorry mate, I never remember the girls names. The only thing I do remember about this girl was that she was 27 years old and had a nine year old son. I don't think I had bad luck with the bars I just think my expectations were a bit too high. I had got used the bars in Thailand and Vietnam (Saigon and Vung Tau) which have prettier and more sexual girls (but more expensive). But like someone said; these bars in PP are not brothels and the girls don't line up getting ready to go home with you. The best looking girls tend to only work for lady drinks which is frustrating. But there are pretty girls out there, just need some patience. And for the girls looking bored; I can't really blame them, I wouldn't do better myself if I was in their situation.
By the way, I'm in Sihanoukville at this very moment and I prefer it here. Not that many girls as in PP but they seem to have a better attitude. And the prices are very low! 15 USD LT las night with an OK girl.

Cheaper exists around places like what Phnom, Sorya Mall freelancers and the brothels, but not recommended since they're worse off than what's available at Walkabout. And that's saying something. There isn't a woman in Walkabout I'd fuck for free let alone pay. Maybe you're hard up or dead broke?
If not, you'll do MUCH better, performance, looks and safety wise, if you head to Cyrcee. One drink for you, one drink for the lady you chose, five dollar barfine, five dollar guest house. 25 dollars two pops.

Was looking for advice about accommodations. Thanks for the tip on Cyrcee, on the list of places to visit.
That said, any advice on lodging. See there are a fair number of places around $20 but would like to have a decent place to crash at the close of each day. Not looking for high end resorts but rather a place that is around $20 nightly, guest friendly, and safe enough.

Blue Kiwi and Lux are very close to riverside and bars on streets 136, 130, 118, 110. Maybe a 7 minute walk or 1 minute moto to Cyrcee, street 104, Nay Nay, etc.
If you want to stay around 51 seems a lot of guys like Flamingo. Not for me. But it is popular. Royal Mekong is a 5 minute walk and much nicer.
I'm not expert on hotels though. I had an apartment when I stayed long, only tried a few hotels when I stayed short.
i was back in phnom penh this past couple of weeks working, eating, and being a martini pub man a few nights.
the general racket there is the same, some gals greet you in groups (usually roommates) and others just sit back to wait for someone to join them. however, the $ 15 st of last year seems gone. it's more mixed-vietnamese and khmai gals than before. a few more pressure sales types than before, but overall still kind of friendly. it remains full of 6-8/10 mostly skinny, spinners with a few older gotten soft working gals.
when offering a couple different gals longer term options, then the costs changed. no $ 30 per day, but requesting more like $ 50 a day or $ 100 for 3 nights plus the expected room, board, and shopping. do keep in mind, i tend to work with gals that know each other so their trust of me can build. also, i've found from past experience, treating a small group well, gets me more rewards than being singular. read last years posts.
besides that point, at those rates, i skipped taking a gal along with me and treated myself to a nice week of work in the countryside with few distractions, but good food, ktv, and plenty of beer and local wine.
anyways, when coming back to phnom penh, i had originally thought to do a night on the ritz, raffles style. however, during my taxi ride back to town, i really didn't feel like pushing myself out there so much when all i wanted was a generally relaxed evening, good food, and easy going companionship. further, since i was tired of tourists, i went more local. ktv hotel kind of local, $ 17 / night plus fees if any, includes ac and fast internet, but no breakfast.
i guess, i hadn't really tried this out before because i know in taiwan, top 8-10/10 ktv is a $ 300 to $ 500 / night wantan ordeal. sliding back the looks really drops the price though. therefore, i'd been prejudiced about spending stupid money and further knowing when going local you need language skills. in taiwan, not much of a problem, but i figured if i tried a chinese ktv hotel in phnom penh, the costs would be more reasonable and despite little to no english skills, my chinese could overcome the issues.
it turns out, what i thought was a chinese ktv hotel, was a khmai place. at first, i was daunted to learn this during my 1 pm check-in. however, i'd already paid online for the hotel and figured i could always walk the 8 minutes to martini pub as a backup.
after visiting the russian market and resting in the room, i got cleaned up and ate at a nice khmai / thai place nearby. a few things about going local, the food quality drastically improves, the smiles are friendlier, and the costs are lower. in general, you'll only catch me once a trip at the western places unless i'm with local friends and going in a group.
after building up my personal courage, i got off at the 2nd floor thinking it was the ktv entrance. nope, it was more like a holding pen for some of the best looking ladies i've seen in all of cambodia. talk about daunting. my normally confident self mumbled out a hello and got a few titters back. i figured on seeing maybe a dozen gals overall. nope, there many groupings of 3-6 gals all throughout the area. realizing i was being stupid, i went back to the ground floor and talked to one of the guys there who said no chinese speakers and tiny, tiny english speakers. however he and i chatted further to build a rapport and then he escorted me to room on the 7th floor. room 701 with room attendant leap, nice gal. wouldn't mind dating her outside of the ktv.
so, i sit down in the ktv room. through bad translations, it's asked if i just want to sing or have girls. i request 2. while waiting, i select my songs and get singing. further, my case of abc beer for $ 25 and a couple of $ 5 snacks show up. about 10 minutes later, after i figure the 3 gals willing to sit with a foreigner we're pulled into my room.
two of the three gals were darker skinned, and 6-7/10. the last, fairer skin, was 8/10, but kept herself pushed into the corner and didn't feel right to me. though i knew i could've asked for another selection, i really didn't care, i just wanted to sing, drink, and have a 2 ladies attend me. so i took the outriggers. 7/10 spoke some english and might have survival level with a little more effort. the 6/10 gal, was minimal, but smiling for real.
anyways, speeding up, leap gets our song orders, keeps our beer initially topped up, and then my pretties and i sing. soon, i realize, these gals can drink and are probably pros. i just to keep to a comfortable pace and enjoy the gals each slowly getting closer to me and roaming hands. nothing overtly sexual at all. after an hour, i could care less if i got laid, i was having fun and doing something different.
going into the second hour, the gals were feeding me, wrapping my arms around them, kissing my cheek, sometimes kissing me on the lips, pulling / poking / massaging my nose, hair, chest, various body parts.
i did no groping. just sang, drank, and hugged these pretty ladies to my sides when possible. sometimes getting the 2 wrapped with me during love songs. fun, but requires body coordination. blah, blah, blah, nearing hour 3, we've gotten up and danced and then then started slowing down.
seems that leap felt things were just past the peak and started wrapping things up. the ktv bills was $ 35; $ 3 / hour room, $ 3 / abc beer since less than case, $ 5 / snack. 10, 000 riel tip to each gal and leap. no mention of anything further was mentioned other than come and see us again soon. so $ 42. 50 damage for nearly 3 hours of good fun.
i had hoped 7/10 would ask to come with me, but nothing came of it. in reflection. 7/10 was playing her role, but nothing real behind it. it probably would've been only slightly better than a starfish.
while waiting for the elevator to come. 6/10 also came to go go downstairs, despite the language barrier, i asked about going upstairs. she mentioned a few things, but i didn't pressure or anything, just lead the way and figured she'd follow or not. we got to my room, sat on the bed, chatted, kissed full on a little, but she discussed going home to sleep and i requested she stay. she wasn't keen on it, but no pressure.
after i went to use the restroom and came back, she was passed out on my bed. guess she wasn't as much of heavyweight as i thought. anyways, not wanting to disturb her, i worked for a bit and then since we was on top of the covers and i finally wanted sleep, i rolled her around a tad so i could get her under the covers and then myself.
weirdly, she woke up for a moment, kissed me full on, pulled up the covers and went back to sleep. well, if nothing else, she was cute and it's pleasure to have a young thing in my bed even if nothing came of it.
a few hours later, she woke to use the restroom for the beer train. on her return she kissed me full on again, cuddled right up to me, and then feel promptly asleep.
eventually 6 am rolls around and i caress her a tad since i'm awake and don't feel like working. she curls up more next to me and i close my eyes. soon, i feeling frisky so i caress again and this slowly leads to one of the most enjoyable gfe i've ever had. too bad, right at 7 am her roomie calls.
after her call, we joked a bit, then got cleaned up. i ate breakfast, she declined and slept on. i'd join her in bed off and on till 10 am, when i finally had to close off our time and head to the airport via a $ 7 tuktuk.
she gave no mention of money other than concern that the 10, 000 riel tips had been given to her friends since it took a while to get the money boy to return the night before. because of the past nights' experience, i sensed that this was more of gal actually liking me and us having chemistry than a bought time deal. therefore, i didn't ask her how much and just gave her a variety of change that added up to $ 10. she looked at me funny when i gave her the money and set it aside. i then used google to translate my appreciation for such a wonderful time. she then smiled more cheerfully before kissing me further.
in the end, we walked out comfortably together and i've left cambodia a sadder knowing there's some real good people doing a thankless job because a lack of means, means lack of opportunities. she's something special to me.
also. 7/10 was a good singer, but fmomg. 6/10 had singing passion that made me sad the ktv time ended at 3 hours. i could've listened to her for the night.
most importantly, this adventure reminded me about forgetting the destination and getting more into the journey. there's a real difference between buying a woman's time and her giving it willing.
The guys working along the KTV, massage, guest house, and hotel strip between Independence Monument and the Russian Market will hook you up with a local gal for $ 20 ST, probable cheaper if you want. However, she'll have no ID and therefore a guest house would be your best bet to shag.
One concern, these gals tend to be lower status, quite a bit down, and just seeing them is depressing. I took one for a change and frankly, it's not something I'm proud of and am thankful I never did the deed with her. Sometimes apathy is a real mood killer and better focus of what's really important.
So, if you want it, it's there, but frankly, go to Martini and shag several gals in a row instead there. These gals have had more options before choosing their place.
For whatever reason, crime reports by foreigners have risen. Frankly, if you're losing your stuff when with a gal / guy, you're probably not thinking ahead.
Get smart, when you go out to play, stick a photocopy of your passport main page in your back pocket with a business card from a place nearby your hotel. Further, only carry $ 50 to $ 100 cash at most. Keep no more than $ 20 in one pocket and the rest in another.
Draw from the smaller money pile as needed and then only grab a single bill from the larger side when needed.
Still, you might be robbed, but it'll be minimal and you can play the you didn't good stuff attitude.
Lastly, I've have well over a hundred encounters and the only theft I caught was when I stuck my Russian beauty in the living room and locked my bedroom door because I didn't trust her. She stole the mini bar. Now, I'm meaner, done with deed, go away.
Lastly, since there are times I want to stay nice, but also want to play. Therefore, I'll have a nice longer term place and on the days I want to play around, I'll rent a short-term place by the hour or for the day. This way, my valuables probably stay locked in my safe at the real room and the fuck room is just that.
Do you have further thoughts for keeping things under control?

I asked the wl's to give their I'd cards (and did NOT give mine) for booking the room (while I paid for it) each night and left late at night to go back to my own hotel while the wl's slept over & enjoyed the room in the cheaper hotel
