Neimendheimenda Update
I just visited the third of the Neimendheimenda houses, I think the same one Hari Hara just reported on. This house is located on the corner of Soi 13 and the sub-soi with the other houses and has it's entrance on Soi 13. It has an orange wall with a gray gate. If the gate is unlocked, they are open. Once through the gate there is a small courtyard/parking pad and then a door to the left. I went today about 2 PM and there were about 15 girls/women and 5 or 6 older Thai men sitting around drinking. The women were from a solid 2 to maybe a decent 7 or so. One was in her mid fifties, several in their early twenties, and the rest late twenties to early thirties. I didn't take much notice of the men. :)
After a beer, I took Mai for a spin. She is quite thin, bleached hair, darker skin. She was not bad, but her breasts were a bit saggy when the bra came off. The rest of her; however, was quite pleasant and she worked very hard for the time that we were together.
There are a few, maybe three, others that I will probably try out in the near future. One real cutie, but she was just coming out of one of the rooms as I was going in. There was also one with really nice breasts, probably fake, but they really looked good.
Anyway, the whole adventure set me back 580 baht. The 80 was for the beer.
Hope that this helps some of you find your way around the neighborhood, if you need more explicit directions, just let me know.
My favorite booty call is bringing over a friend this evening for me to try out. If she is any good I will let you all know.

Need advice from forum bros.
Will be going to CM for 1st time in Nov. 1)Need recommendations on hotels on the cheap -decent places but no real dirty run down places (want to save for the real actions), but hopefully walking distance to the action. 2)Is CM a walking friendly place or are the tourist sites away from the girl action places. Since its my 1st time there, I will want to see the tourist spots for 1-2 days and girl action at nite. 3)any buses run from the CM airport to city (hotel area) or just taxi?

Map
For the Neimenheimenda area
Please note that North is to the left in this map.

You can walk to the "action" in approx 3 mins.(right across the road) I am sure other people will have better sugestions but I have stayed there before and never had any complaints.
For the tourist spots you will have to arrange transport either hire a baht bus for the day or go on a organised tour.
Getting from the airport to the city is a simple taxi ride price fixed at 120baht. As you leave the baggage claim turn left and the 2nd or 3rd counter is for getting your taxi. Just tell them where you want to go and they fill out a cupon and then you leave via the exit next to there and hand your ticket over and they will take you to your hotel. You just pay the drive 120baht when you get there.
Hope this helps

1) I forgot to add that if anyone have a list of decent and cheap guest friendly hotels or even decent guesthouses(GF of course) near the action ?(guessing bar action near the old city area? based on location of recommended Top North Hotel. BTW-whats the going rate on this place?
2) Best way of getting around CM, if need to travel around alot. ex: lets say to Nimmanhaemin RD as some bros suggest.. taxi only or do they have some sort of public transport system like Pattaya of even BKK.
3) Whats the current going rate for bar fines, ST and definitely LT. Is it cheaper than BKK or Pattaya?
Thanks again for the help guys.
Yes, it flooded big-time.
Flooding? was gonna say Youre kidding me right, but guess not.
Wonder if this will affect me in Nov (around NOV 6) and whats the general weather around the beginning of NOV. up there. I know its a tropical country but heard it does get very chilly up north (not sure if that includes CM)
Afterall, Florida is suppose to be sub-tropical but I've been there in Jan around Orlando area and we had freakin Frost at nite.
-
it doesn't get "cold" at ground level (meaning down in the ciity) - you need to go "up" (the mountains) to find the frost - but it was "nicer" meaning about 5C cooler there last year than "south"
it's not Florida - its a LOT farther south (at 12 deg latitude, its FULL tropics, not "sub")

Phantomtiger2,
Don't forget the buses. CM has an elaborate public transport system.
It can get cold enough up there to be miserable in just shorts and a t-shirt.
The winter of 1999-2000 was particularly nasty: Frost all over the North and North-East and hundreds of people dying.

Bus no 10

It is aircon, costs 10B and is very comfortable. Unfortunately, you can't really take it to go to the airport because it goes out Hangdong road to a residential area first. And it seems to be less and less frequent lately, so you have to be patient.
Where did you see the rest of the "elaborate public transport system"? Did I miss something?

This while all U bros sitting in shorts and tees holding a beer in one hand and tits in the other (envy U guys).
So is there a map (on line if possible for these public bus routes? also what is the latest hours they run at nite and cost/ride?
Songthews-(somesort of pickup up truck with benches)heard of them but never been on one, what are their routes and their cost/ride? Thanks guys.

Phantom
Songthews- heard of them but never been on one, what are their routes and their cost/ride?
Songtaews take you anywhere you want to go. They pick up any passenger who flags them down, and you tell the driver where you want to go. If your destination is convenient for the other passengers then- yes, hop in. Otherwise, wait four seconds for the next one to come along.
They have cost 10 Baht for years, but apparently the prices have just risen.
Seriously though, rent a motorbike.
Good local knowledge can be gained from Chiang Mai's City-Life magazine:

seriously though, rent a motorbike.
note:
only rode a moped once,(15 years ago and only for about 10 minutes with no real traffic to speak of at that time) but im a good bicycle rider(regular 15 speed mountain bicycle-dont know if this will help.
but feelin adventurous so, ok guys, almost talked me into renting, so from all you expert bikers out there, how about a quick lesson in motorbike 101:
1) wheres best place to rent (as certain quality of bikes in locations may vary alot.
2) set price for rentals? of neg. hard for price--sort of like practice before meeting bar gals--ha ha.
the reasonable price range i should keep to as not to be ripped off (max price
3) need to buy bike insurance or waste of money?
4) what model of bike is best to look out for --assuming renting the smallest type models(ex. honda, yamaha? etc.
5) need to lock up bike when not in use ? locks included? so(if get stolen, will i be liable?)
6) better to rent for daily use and return daily or multiple days (see question 5 about parking---especially overnite)
7) need to fill tank before returning?
8) rent helmets or cums with bike?
9) never been to cm so not sure what kinda traffic is involved there(heavy or light or simply what hours to avoid being on the road ex: been to bkk and i would never drive or even think of riding motorbike there--day or nite, 24/7
10)hmm--tried to come up with 10 ques. but cant think of 1 more, so feel free to add
ok heres #10) whats weather like about nov 4-8, so could decide if i should be renting motor bike or a boat (based on all the flooding reports i saw)
btw: feel free to add anyway. thanks. pt
