If at first you don't succeed
Cebu Pacific Airlines declines all bookings with international issued credit cards. You will probably have to go with another airline.
Amavida: I guess you have better karma than I do.
Got tired of trying, so I went with Philippine Airlines on the CheapOAir site. Ironically, they only accept US / CAN cards and addresses.
So May 5 - 17 in Davao it is.

Thanks for all the suggestions
Haven't tried booking with CP yet, but last year I tried booking a flight with Air Asia from BKK to PNP. Had problems at first, then called my CC company and asked them to ok the booking. Went through pretty easy after that. Worth a try for the cheap prices CP offers. Later, SB
That's a good idea Saibb. I've used my card pretty widely internationally, but never in the PI. I just assumed the problem was more general than just my transaction.
Unfortunately, I've already booked my current trip so I won't be able to test your solution -- unless I do a side trip from Davao.

Cebu Pacific does not accept international credit cards.

The problem is with the credit card company NOT Cebu Pacific.
For instance many aussie credit card issuers absolutely will not honor any transaction in Malaysia - period. They say too much fraud.
As one of the other posters said call your credit card company & get them to allow transactions with CP.
One of the reasons I bank with Citibank is hasslle free world wide & the other is no fees. Something Aussies have to suffer from their local banks.
Amavida
Hello Amavida,
I'm sorry mate but I have to disagree with you when you say that the credit card companies are to blame when Cebu Pacific does not accept online booking transactions. A friend of mine in the U.S after waiting on hold for 40 minutes, yes 40 minutes and paying with a debit card. He receives an email telling him they don't accept debit cards for telephone transactions. Please call back with credit card details which they don't accept anyway. Cebu Pacific has its head office in Manila and the call centre is in Cebu. It does not matter which number you ring you will not get any satisfaction. It would appear that Cebu Pacific is managed by morons.
In any inefficient and poorly managed system-you will always find errors creeping in, as in the few cases where international credit cards are actually accepted by the Cebu Pacific online booking system. THIS IS NOT THE NORM. Where some bookings do slip thru the net of incompetence this is merely due to good luck than good management. If one booking does make it -there would be several thousand that did not.
Regards and thank your mother for the rabbits.
