The central tendency of statistics relates to biology. So, you should suspect that STD rates in China are comparable with pretty much anywhere else. The Chinese government paints a pretty rosy picture with statistics in all cases, so really any 'data' would be unreliable at best. I think most international organizations revise up the rates of HIV in the country. The official rates are laughably low. Don't buy them unless you need an excuse, and your self-fulfilling prophecy will come true.

They are obliged to check in at the local hospital for a medical check up including blood test every six months. I never heard of any STD's being found, but various cases of other ailments being revealed.
