The "original" Rin, can still be found on soi 22,3rd soi in the left after the marriott hotel. She is well in the 50's. Still does great ball massage. And probably good idea to close your eyes. If she knows that you'll tip her every time that she helps you. I would tip 100 baht. Remember the girls she sets you up with are also probably having to tip her.

I've lived in Bangkok for 4 years now, so I no longer need to use this strategy, in fact I normally want the mamasan to stay far away from my negotiations with the girls. I can communicate directly with the girl. However, when I was only an infrequent visitor I used this strategy many times.

After that, there's still freelancers and tourists milling along Sukhumvit as well as Soi 4, but the streetwalker scene is dwindling, and not exactly fantastic to begin with. Bit of a freak show, maybe fun to walk around, but don't expect to find a beauty queen among that bunch. Plenty of street people and ladyboys.

At 1 am, it's better, but still the tail end of sorts. I guess I'd head to soi 4 and pick a streetwalker or someone from the bars.

There is a couple of small laneways a few hundred meters up the street on the same side as you are walking. Down these laneways there are a number of short term hotels. Go for the most expensive one you can fine which will probably be 400 baht for an hour and most likely has nice clean sheets. There are cheaper ones at 200 Baht but they are skanky as hell and the rooms may or may not be cleaned in between customers. These short term hotels in these sois are used by a lot of streetwalkers so their standards tend to be pretty low.

The good street walkers are long gone by then. They are usually gone by 2 am. Sometimes there are bargirls on the way home but that dries up by 2:30. By 3, It is usually just the women who have nowhere to go and if they have nowhere to go, there is something wrong. I know this from personal experience. lol
The SWs hang around across from Nana Plaza, in front of Thermae, corner of Sukhumvit and Soi4 and in the pre-Covid days, in front of the Grace Hotel and Nana Condos. It will be a depressing scene at 4am most likely though.

I am going to be there for the very first time next month so as a newbie to it all I reckon this could be a good option for me. Could save a lot of hassle. I have spent the last few days going through 100+ pages of this thread and the information available on here is extremely helpful. I will post very detils reports when I am there.

It seems very hard to get a sense of what it will be like. Opinion seems to be split on here between "nothing like the good ol' days" and "things are picking up and there is plenty of great action to be found" - probs a mixture of both I guess. As I wasnt there for the glory days and this will be my first experieince, I am pretty sure I am going to have a good time. My bar is low.

I personally see no value in seeing an escort in BKK as they tend to be less attractive and way way over priced. At the hours you mention you will be scraping the bottom of the barrel and hence overpaying for an escort may be a better option.

But you can get lucky and pop a working girl who has left the "engagement" she had earlier.

I have occasionally found very good doable ones walking home along Soi Sukhumvit near Soi8 and Soi 11.

Or found them sitting relaxing having a drink and something to eat at the pop up bars and food stalls on the corner of Soi 11.

Have a look, and if nothing, then head to your hotel.

Also, a big word of caution, you will have all your travel stuff with you by the sounds of it, as you haven't booked into your hotel yet you said.

4 am Bangkok will be completely dry. Had experienced the same few years back when I landed at a similar time. I used Smooci but was around 3 k BHT. You will find no street meat at that time for sure.

After 1 am, if you like clubs try them or Nana, Patpong and Soi Cowboy is open till 2 AM. Street meat will be available in front of Nana till 3 AM too.
