I respect most everyone's opinion, even if I disagree, so I mean no disrepect when I say that I love the food in La Mayorista. I would actually travel there from say El Castillo or Parque Lleras to eat. Especially breakfast. No matter how well you know the language, as a foreigner it's difficult to get what you thought you ordered for breakfast. But I managed to get sort of a Yucca soup, as an appetizer. I love yucca! And then on from there with the normal Bandeja Paisa. The restaurant with the metal seats outside I love. So different strokes, I suppose. But I haven't found better food than they serve there.

The minute I walked into the party I was immediately glad that I didnt for there was so much fish in the sea and quickly meshed well with her friend and not her.. lol.. Shit happens! Needless to say she was kind of upset but glad her friend make some pesos as well.

Check out El Penol... a lake outside of town. You like touristy stuff? Check out Santa Fe. Need water? Check out the many pools/water parks. Never a boring time.

I'm a beach guy too, but I'll "settle" with laying next a pool with lots of hot chicas!

I also like the tiny cafe just below New Life, I like the old gal that runs the place and she sort of puts up with me so its a great relationship. I like the Metro, cleaner than anything in new york los angeles or chicago, I like that the taxis are always metered, I like the friendliness of nearly all the colombians I talk to, I like that it rains a bit everyday. I like going to a professional soccer match for around $5. 00, I like the archetechture and the Mountain views. I also LOVE that I can get that GFE or porn star experience, whichever I choose, I also love the fact that a lot of people don't love it. I can roam all over town and Never hear English spoken, never see some some dude in Bermuda shorts.

Sometimes up to 10 or so.

With that in mind I wonder if some of the best looking girls on Romance Latina are also Casa Blanca girls. If that is the case then it's yet another reason why so mongers stay at Casa Blanca 1 & 2. They once again are cumming to the source.

If not then what kind of camera and other photography equipments do you use? I have been going to Colombia for years but was nerver into photography but I am trying to get myself educated on this so I can buy the right camera, etc.

Cubanut can speak for himself, but I can chime in here as an outside witness. I've done photo shoots with Cubanut (uh, no, not us shooting each other you degenerates), and been in on the process from setup to post production and delivery of product to the girls themselves, and no he does no use photoshop. He's something of a purist in that regard. I wouldn't want to speak for him and say that he never has, but I can tell you from what I've seen first hand, that no, he doesn't, and this includes the pictures you guys are talking about here. I was there from start to finish in the shoot, and we used my MacBook to burn the discs etc. So I can speak definitively on all those shots.

I on the other hand use photoshop a lot to manipulate colors etc, and just play in general. But then I don't post pics either, so that's not really relevant.

Also, to Tomasb on Aleja, you were right to follow your instincts and bail. Don't question yourself for that. You may have been right or you may not, but follow your instincts. As for Aleja specifically, she's been one of my favorite girls and remarkably sweet. But I can see her other side too and wouldn't criticize a guy for not going there if he wasn't feeling it. I do that all the time with girls that others recommend. In fact, it took a really long time before I ever went with her for that very reason. But when she's in the zone, she's top notch. She will remember everything about you and use everything you talk about in future conversations like she's known you her whole life. We've spent hours just yapping away even when I was stateside in hell. She's very engaging. But then again, so are most of these girls. It's just about whether you click or not. So stick to your own instincts and pick the ones with whom you click. I think you were doing that, and you shouldn't be faulted for it.

i have several slr cameras but my preference when traveling is a nikon d50 with a standard 18-55mm lens kit and also a fixed 50 mm lens for that "sharp image w/blury background" effect.

one of the most important things to master is lighting! i use a pivoting speed light (sb28) attached to the camera's hot shoe to "bounce" the light as oppose to direct light flash if i were using the built in pop up flash. direct flash causes harsh reflections and dark shadows behind the subject. back home i have the umbrellas and reflectors and backgrounds but never lug them along on vacation.

a digital slr is the way to go for professional looking shots, especially with a nice paisa in front of the camera. however, no need to get ridiculous and bring an slr that's in the thousands of dollars range. i have seen gents do just that although i could see from their use of the camera and photo results that they don't really spend time learning how to effectively use the camera's multi functions to the point of which they just turn it on auto and end up with a point and shoot.

composition is going on in my mind as i look through the lens of the camera. am i tilted? is there debri in the background? is there a hair in the girls face? will she look better with or without a smile? etc. robert was nice enough to go along with my suggestion of an outdoor makeshift studio. we cleared an area, brought out some furniture. added the plants for a nature touch. also suspended a white sheet above the shoot area to allow the flash to "bounce" off of.

one thing is it is real work to get that special shot. i take several pictures in order to try to pinpoint one that brings the best out of my subject.

as far as photo shopping. no, i don't really but what i do, if needed, is crop, lighten/darken highlight etc. but as far as the actual girls, pretty much what you see is what you can get. none of them are professional models. some of the girls have a knack for posing, many do not.
