Got to my hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 11 by 12 pm checked in and head to Wood Bar for a quick BJ than had time to stop by Nana to grab a girl at the go go before closing time.
So to answer your question I don't think the vip service is needed.
You no longer need to fill out any forms at customs. Just hand your passport over to the immigration officer and on you go.

Shirtless men on street. Women refusing to cover bodies in temples. Man putting feet on table by chair in hotel lobby.

I arrived Bangkok last Friday night around 11 pm. I was out of the airport within 15 minutes of landing. I booked a hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 11 which in my opinion is the best location to stay at if you want to be right in the middle of the action and be right between Nana Entertainment Plaza and Soi Cowboy and ease of access to the Nana BTS Station.
After jumping in a taxi from the airport I got to my hotel just around Midnight. I checked in my hotel and was out the door by 12:20 am. I head straight to wood bar on Soi 7 and got a quick BJ for 800 thb. After blowing my load it started to rain so I quickly went to Nana Entertainment Plaza on Soi 4. From Bangkok Sukhumvit to Huahin the price I paid via Grab was 2108 thb. The journey took 3 hours and I was at the Maven Stylish Hotel in HuaHin by 12 Noon. Let me tell you all. Hua Hin is very quiet. A little too quiet for my liking but I can understand why some of the foreigners there enjoy the peace and tranquility at this little beach town. Taxi's are not easily accessible so I decided to rent a scooter during my 2 days there. If you walk outside of the hotel and immediately to your left near the massage shop you will see scooters for rent at 180 thb per day.
Once I checked into my hotel room which was modern and very nice for the price, I hopped on my scooter and got acquainted with Hua Hin. What I noticed also was that the talent for the women there at present moment was very low. I am saying like out a scale from 1-10 they would be in between a 3-6 if you were lucky. Obviously there were a few cuties but that was slim pickings. There were plenty of Full service massage shops in between Soi 55-57 and the Soi's in between. Soi 94 also had many full service massage shops. The way you tell what a full service massage shop is vs a legitimate massage shop is how the girls are dressed. If they are in street clothes or look sexy you know you can probably get full service. If they are in uniforms than it is probably a legitimate massage shop.

In room theft is a big concern for me too. Total security is impossible, these are my security measures.
1. Before leaving my hotel room, everything of high value goes into the safe. I bring only a little more money with me than I'm willing to spend. I leave my room neat and orderly.
2. I find my girl and make arrangements. As suggested, we stop at 7-11 for drinks and snacks.
3. Upon arrival at hotel, reception holds girls ID, I ask reception to call room before returning ID, and I tip reception a decent amount, perhaps 200 baht.
