Make sure you carry a copy of your passport / visa / residence or working permit. I took pictures and saved them in my phone, this is usually good enough.

I was there personally, not a nice experience but as I mentioned no problem if you have proper documents.

Yongfu Lu is infamous for its weed dealers on the street. After midnight it virtually turns into a pedestrian zone, loads of people on the street having drinks and enjoying the street food (they used to sell the best curry sausages in Shanghai from a van there but its no longer available)

Just heard rumors about similar checks in Mint, however not confirmed yet.

I found Gal I like at at MP on wulumuqi just south of Wanhangdu Road on the Right side as you are going south. It is in a little alley off wulumuqi Road. Oil massage is 168 and tip for he is only 100. Her number is #8. I'd appreciate any reports

I am pretty much unfamiliar with Shanghai's locations and habits, but walked around for some hours over the weekend and finally decided to try an MP around the corner of the Howard Johnson Hotel at Caijing University, not far from the intersection with Zheng Li Lu. The name is something Zhong Yuan, the street name is Ji Pu Lu. Signs outside all Chinese, inside an English menu that points to various YouYa / Oil Massage items. (I looked around for a long time, and it seemed to me that most of the MPs are FS service places where you cannot expect a decent regular or HE massage, is that correct?).

I picked the 168 RMB / 80 min package, the next one would have been 218, I think, and seems the difference was in duration rather than nature (but after reading some of the posts here, maybe it had to do with the amount of clothes?). Thanks![/QUOTE]AZ, I think you mean 190, 200, & 228 Yuyao Lu, near Changde Lu. Seemed to be the only ones in the area. Each has several girls in front. You might find something that appeals, but I did not. For the BBS fan, though, you could probably do ok.
