Liondale: I really admired your insights and couldn't agree more.

Both Smoothy and Catire have some good points and let's not debate and who's right or wrong because from what I see it comes back to one own preferences (some like funky techno some like live musics). Hei the most important is whatever works for you and your game.

As for myself I frequent both of those places (in fact I have Dragonfly's membership and also member of CJ's / anyone needs a table?). I've got to admit thought that when I went to these places, I was with a companion (or sometimes companions.) already, so I just went there to enjoy the place athmosphere, not on hunting mission. In fact, usually my decision to visit which venues was based on the girls' wishes. From my experience, girls who're more outgoing and love to dance (usually westerners bg or latinas) dig Cjs more. While more classy (and glossy) girls who want a good place just to relax and drink dig Dragonfly more. For me I just be there for the spill of their funs hehe.

PS. Anyone ever try new club name Immigrant in Plaza Indonesia? I was recommended this place by a friend last time visiting jakarta, but haven't checked it my self. Heard it's a good pick-ups place.

Immigrant is not very happening in the weekdays, not happening at all. Weekends it is ok, but somehow it doesn't quite do it for me. Could be the weird L shaped layout.

Well I became members via invitations (didn't sign up or anything). As to how to get those invitations, I didn't exacty know.

If you need a table in those venues (DF or CJ's) , you can drop me a line (better via pm as I'll get noticed by email) at least a day before you plan to go and state whether you want the long tables or the sofa.

Be advised however that for table or sofa they have minimum charges in both places (table's cheaper, CJ's cheaper). I forget how much (I think it was around 1, 5m for table and 2, 5m for sofa? Not too sure, sorry). But if you came with group of friends, or if you're much of a drinker I think you'll easily find the way to fill up the charges.

JAD2: I'll be coming to Jakarta around next week. I'll drop you a line when it's fixed.

I'm well into my forties and still enjoy DF and, even better, Loewey's. I agree with the people who say that it's better to go there with a group of friends, usually a mixed bunch of Indonesians and bules, rather than to treat it as a Blok M bar. I've never pulled at either place, except with one of the women in the group that I arrived there with. They are both cool places to take a girl if she isn't the sort that would be comfortable in Blok M (and that's probably 95% of Indonesian women!)
